The pool/spa were really nice and well kept. Our baby enjoyed her swim each morning! We had a three course meal included in our deal, but were unable to go down to the restaurant due to our little baby so we changed this to room service. This was fine with the hotel (although they forgot this at checkout and tried to charge for the meal until we pointed it out). The food however was really good, with sizeable portions. Breakfast was buffet style, and very extensive. Staff in the restaurant were quick to offer us a high chair each morning. The gentleman who greeted us each morning was very friendly. Really disappointed by a couple of the members of staff. The lady that checked us out on our last day barely bothered to look at us from when we approached the desk until we left the reception. This is despite trying to charge us £60 for a meal that was included in our room deal. When we pointed out that we actually only owed about £15 she didn't apologise or even look at us, just merely took the payment. We were not asked whether we had enjoyed our stay or offered any other pleasantries. This left us with a poor impression of the hotel, when actually most other aspects had been fine. A real shame that a few members of rude/impolite staff can easily change your perspective.

Clean and convenient for city Booked the hotel for a weekend break having seen it on booking.com and seeing it publicised as having pool, spa facilities and city centre location. My mistake for not researching it better; I would suggest that this is very much a business hotel rather than a weekend break hotel - if you want somewhere for a nice break then you could better spend your money elsewhere on somewhere with more charm. As a place to stay while on business I would say it is fine but it is not cheap by any means at well over £100 for room only, no breakfast.

Very comfortable hotel Our only complaint was the fact that the pool etc were closed at 4.30 instead of 8.30 on our first day without any prior notice and this was very disappointing as the weather was awful and it would have been lovely to be able to use the facilities.

Lovely room with a very comfortable huge bed. The hotel is in a great location - quiet but within easy walking distance of the city centre. All the staff were very helpful and I thought it was excellent value. We would definitely stay there again if visiting Winchester. We ate at the hotel one evening. The staff were great. The food was fine but nothing special. The menu was quite limited. Don't have the pate, it was tasteless and definitely not home made. The steak/grill house which a short walk towards town from the hotel was much better. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from the hot and cold buffet. The only bad thing was the bacon. I can only guess it had been steamed or microwaved as it was all stuck together, had no colour and was tastless.

Facilities, cleanliness. The aircon was a bit mad. What';s wrong with a good old fashioned window? After a night in the room it was nice to step outside into the fresh (not just cold) air. The mattress was not great.

Good location modern and clean Only problem I had was that the water was not hot enough for a bath in the morning. On informing the desk I was told this was maybe because so many baths had been run that morning. A 20% refund was given after a small battle. I would rather have had a hot bath !

Warm inviting reception - lovely atmosphere in the bar area with the piano playing - restuarant meals very good value for money. Room comfortable with all anticipated facilities - gratis bottles of water in fridge nice touch. Although I didnt actually get in the pool, it looked very small - bit of a trek from reception to the club bedrooms.

It was a lovely, clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were freindly and attentive and the facilities were good. It was close enough to the city centre to walk but just far enough away from the hussle and noise. It was a very relaxing stay.

Modern decor, nice bar and restaurant. Staff didn't seem very interested. Very noisy corporate events each night. Small basic bathroom. Horrible area outside entrance with public car park right outside the door.

The Hotel was clean and smart, the staff were hospitable and welcoming. The facilities were good and the food of a high standard. I liked the smart, modern interior. The long corridors to get to our room. The club room didn't seem like much of an upgrade from what I'd expect of a standard room.
