The hotel was comfortable and quite clean. I will go to next box to say more. The room when we entered it was very cold....we found the heating and I feel this should have been on to 'air' our room upon our arrival. The Receptionist was pleasant but not overly friendly. |

Great location. Very comfortable rooms. Good breakfast with friendly, efficient waitresses. Rather confusing following registration. Couldn't find our room immediately and, although a couple of staff were in evidence, they did not help without prompting. |

Breakfast was very good. Lounges very comfortable The bathroom was in need of updating. The shower was a mixer type which made the temperature very difficult to control. |

The bedroom was decorated in a traditional style. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included in the rate and was cooked to order. Very good indeed with a nice choice of cereals etc. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade. |

We only stayed two nights but thought that overall the facilities etc were very good and the cooked breakfast was the best we've ever had in a British Hotel. |

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the proximity of the hotel to the town centre and shops/restaurants. I thought the price expensive for the standard and quality of the room. |

My Mother and I stayed at the Hotel for a few days break together, The room was very comfortable and quiet, facing out onto the garden. The staff were all very pleasant, cheerful and ready to help. I would return here for another break, and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend the hotel to friends. |

Friendly, convenient location for exploring the city and cathedral, good breakfast, quiet. 1. We would have liked a bath. 2. The instructions on how to get there were quite wrong. we were directed the wrong way down a one-way street. 3. We wanted to dine with you but you were full. Well done for you! |

very convenient location , restaurant facing to Thames revier is comfortable . All the staffs are kind and helpful . The too hot water is too dangerous for people who are used to use mixed type of bath room . More cleaning of carpet and window curtain are necessary . |

This hotel has the rather charming air of a country house where the owners have run out of money, and cannot afford to redecorate. |

It was a good place to break our car journey whilst travelling from Hythe in Kent to Martock in Somerset. Difficult to find in Winchester's one way streets. Two lights not working in our bedroom. |
