The Windermere Suites were the winner of the AA's 'Funkiest B&B' award for 2009/10. These boutique-style suites offer designer luxury settings in the natural beauty of the Lake District. With a 5-star Guest Accommodation rating from the AA, suites come with luxury bathrooms and modern furniture from designers such as Philippe Starck. Each suite features a handmade, silver-leaf Frank Hudson super-king bed. All suites have 42-inch LCD TVs, crystal lights and free Wi-Fi. A hearty Cumbria platter or continental breakfast, with freshly ground coffee, is delivered to your suite every morning. Breakfast is served at a time to suit you. A room service menu also is available. Windermere Suites are just a 2-minute walk from the center of town and Windermere Train Station. Lake Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermre, home to the ‘World Of Beatrix Potter’ are also within easy walking distance. The air tub is fabulous! Room service is very convinient for the breakfast. You can image you are the princess when you live in it!

Design exceptional and very luxurious The website mentioned a hot tub however this was a spa bath, therefore we were disappointed as we had rang to confirm that there was specifically a hot tub.

The bathroom was amazing, the bedroom was luxurious and quiet which is most important. Breakfast was fantastic and so were the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Great place and nice to be able to use nearby leisure facilities too. The price! If it was more affordable we would visit more often.

Staff excellent Room fantastic Food great Our rear elevation first floor room was overlooked by other properties and the car park so it wasn't private enough to leave the curtains open. Television package was poor and there was no dvd player/dvd library which I would expect this level of accommodation to have as a matter of course.

To celebrate our anniversary,our annual trip away together, We headed for the Lakes,chose Winderemere suites and it did not disappoint. The staff,room,cleanliness,breakfast,bathroom were superb. The suites are ideally located for people wanting a good base for the Lakes. We had a great time and will definately be returning here in future.. Fab!!!

Large room with sofa and breakfast table. Staff very helpful. Large breakfast served in room. Large bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. Pool located at sister hotel in Bowness was at least 20 minute walk.

Beautiful, unique rooms. Very original. Very friendly and helpful staff Although good quality the room service menu is slightly limited. Pizza or burgers, possibly another option and I would be happy.
