Good transport links Friendly staff
Food overpriced Very noisy location
The leisure facilities
The bar area was disappointing and not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.
1. The friendliness of the staff. 2. It had a swimming pool and gym. 3. The size of the room. 4. A bar and restaurant in the hotel. 5. Easy to get to the NEC.
The staff were over stretched at meal times and consequently the food was late muddled or not available. The room we were in was a little tired regarding its decor. The leisure facilities were manned by one girl at the desk who did what she could but the steam room was not running, the spin drier for the costumes was broken, there was a swimming pool light dangerously hanging out of its socket under the water and there was a cracked and dangerous drain plug hole at the side of the pool. (To be fair the young girl did ring through to maintenance as soon as I reported it).
Ease of access
Bedroom too warm unable to alter heating level
Bed was comfortable .
Toilet would not flush , reported it , staff not interestred , had to ask for another room . Dinner a disaster , booked fotr 8.30 , arrived and manager requested that I had a drink in the bar and he would come to get me , never came , so 30 mins later IK returned to restaurant , and was asked to set at a table for 4 , given menu , then ignored for 20 minutes . Walked out and went to another hotel for dinner .
Pool was nice and gym good
Didnt get good sleep due to people going to other lodges. Floors creaky. Walkways creaky. Pub meals were a tad expensive too. Had to use bar since restraunt was full.
Swimming pool and gym. room comfort/temperature etc. Meals were very good/good value. Good choice of real ales and wines. Room was always very clean and tidy. Good service. All staff that I spoke to were were friendly and accomodating.
Only one bar person sometimes. There was often a queue of 6 or more people. The restaurant was a bit too warm on mornings. Security doors (with key pads) at the top of stairs were not working. They were chocked open to stop them closing. Staff were aware there was a problem but no one seemed to be in a hurry to either fix the key pad or remove it. Wooden chocks didnt look very good as a fix.
Poor gluten free menu
Staff. All extremely professional and helpful.
This is not a four star hotel . The best room booked had minimum facilities in terms of what is usually provided in a 4 star hotel. Bathroom not impressive and not comfortable !
Myself and my wife found the beds extreamy hard.
Stayed at Windmll for mother's 80th birthday and needed bill breaking down between families.Staff were extremely helpful and understanding. Evening meal was lovely [and they even brought out our homemade cake, complete with candles].
Tree slap bang in front of bedroom window.
Everything nice but breakfast not very hot
Cellar bar had very poor service. Waited a long time for meals, then starters and mains came at same time.
The spaciousness of the room and especially the bathroom. The little extras such as hairdryer, iron and ironing board actually in the room
The beds need updating as does the decor, everything about the bedroom felt a little jaded. I took my cat along and when she investigated and came out from under the furniture covered in dust and cobwebs I felt a little uncomfortable at what was lurking beneath
We were travelling as two ladies in separate rooms, to attend a school re-union event. One if our rooms was rather isolated and the Receptionist changed it immediately on request, despite it being a very buy day for the hotel with two weddings and several golfing parties. Parking was excellent, rooms clean and comfortable. We also greatly enjoyed spa treatments early on Sunday, booked just the day before. Our restaurant dinner was very good. Bar service, again on a hectic Saturday night, was impeccable.
The bungalow style rooms with close parking. Quiet area despite dual carriage way next to hotel!
The price of the food when bought at the last minute nice tasting and good quality but over priced. Breakfast was really late and had to que due to stay coinciding with wedding parties, no good if have to get on.
This hotel is ideally situated on the A45 for easy access to Coventry, NEC and Birmingham airport. The pleasant rural surroundings and outlook are unusual for a Coventry hotel.
fab location lovely rooms food excellent
are room was one of the one out side the main hotel as it decide to rain that night we were soaked by the time i got the kids back to the room at night also found the traffic noise from the a45 quite loud also lady in the next room must have left her room a least 5 times in the night to stamp up and down the metal stairs in heels (not hotels fault ) choice of drinks not great only one draft cider
Shower was good
I did book one single bed: I got two smaller. I did book a silent room and I got the closest to the high trafic road. TV was not working in the room The room was smelling. Waiting 15 min to check out in the morning.
Love the lodges Nice hotel and spa
Pub menue needs updating Food in bar just ok
The village feel. Plenty of lounging areas Swimming pool Easy access to car park The food
Breakfast was not early at weekend and we needed it early.
Very little. Staff were polite. The receptionist was excellent but not backed up properly by management.
Poor organisation. Poor communication from staff to client. Staff well versed at saying "sorry" instead of sorting problems out. Breakfast late each morning - queues outside dining areas. Bedroom lock failed to work on numerous occasions. Kept being told it was the key but it was obviously the lock as the master key failed to work. Our friend twice ordered breakfast and it failed to be delivered. Again apologies and compensation but no substitute for proper service. In all, one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in.
Easy to get to, good location for midlands. rooms large and clean with good bathroom. Our room had own patio with direct access to golf course. Food good quality.
Nothing to dislike, some of the junior members of staff could do with more training - but this is a management problem.
Nice grounds. Nice tiles in bathroom and large power shower.
Lots of noisy children running loose in the hotel bar and in the corridors. Receptionist was blunt and unhelpful. Stayed in chalet, very old and tired with stains on the carpet and cigarette burns on the curtains. Food very overpriced.
