I have to say that this is the best hotel/B&B we've ever stayed in. The location is great - close to town and the beach but the surroundings are so quiet so you get the best of both worlds. We received the friendliest of welcomes and felt so looked after the whole time. Our room was clean, bright and beautifully furnished with a fab view of the sea; the hotel as a whole was immaculate. It all sounds too good to be true but The Windsor Carlton is the ideal place to stay in Blackpool - great location, great value for money and 2 lovely hosts to top it off!

We were greeted by tricia and chris the owners who were very friendly and helpful, my 2 girls thought they were great. The room was very clean and was decorated beautifully, the beds were extremely comfortable. The come cooked breakfast was first class with plenty of choice. We would definatley stay here again when we visit blackpool next year and can highly recommend the windsor carlton.

After reading the reviews of this accomodation i decided to book & stay at The Windsor Carlton & may i just say that everything i'd read about the place was true and more. It is situated at the quiter end of blackpool but only 2 mins from the tram or bus stop which can have you right outside the Tower in no time at all so you get the best of bost worlds. Tricia and Chris were fantastic. Extremley friendly, on arrival and throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The accomodation was spotless and the choice on the breakfast menu was superb, Tricia's full english set us up for the day :-). We stayed here with my little girl and it makes all the difference to your stay when people seem to not only welcome you but your children too, both Tricia and Chris were very good with her. A most enjoyable stay and if we are ever to return to Blackpool it will be the Windsor Carlton we use again.

cleanliness, decor, position of hotel, nice selection for breakfast, and very friendly. As we came in a family group ( booking 4 rooms ) we were all fairly satistfied, it was a shame there was no proper lounge area, tv etc as coming all together, it would have been nice to have a more communal area with comfy sofas, so we could have mingled more. It would have been ok if we came seperately .

It was clean and modern inside. Trish was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The other staff were equally as professional. The location of the hotel was very close to the main prom in Blackpool and we all found it very convenient to access. The hotel was on the quieter end of the prom which was very good for us and meant we were able to fully relax!

From the outside the Windsor Carlton doesn't look very appealing however looks can be very decieving. This b&b/ hotel is a cracking little place, the decor was extremely tasteful, the hosts Chris n partner were extremely welcoming and very friendly and approachable, information was sufficient about the local area with leaflets in the hallway and the bedroom was really pleasant I can see why this hotel has been awarded 4stars. The guest book in the bedroom covered holistic needs from info on church services to local hospital N.o's etc and the note pad and pen placed in the room was a thoughtful gesture and very handy to use for guests. For a reduced fee the Hilton is opposite to utilise their gym, sauna and swimming facilities which is very good so why pay Hilton room prices when the Windsor Carlton provides excellence for half the price. The Breakfast was delicious and a good selection available towards guests and the staff were conscientious towards our needs of extra tea or toast we didn't need to approach them they was on hand and asking us if we required anything else. I would recommend the hotel to family and friends and will definitely be staying at the Windsor Carlton again in the near future. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room georgous the only bad point was the room wasn't warm enough in the night between 3-6 the temp dipped. We did stay in a back room which could have contributed towards this, however it seemed more like the radiators needed bleeding in the room as in the morning going downstairs for breakfast the rest of the hotel was very warm. I informed Chris of this which hopefully he has rectified the situation now.

The Windsor Carlton is a lovely, homely hotel. Tricia and Chris are lovely, friendly and helpful. We had a seaview double and apart from it being a little on the small side for us, it was comfortable and spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was really nice, freshly cooked and my poached eggs were perfect!! My husband had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and said it was really nice. The hotel is just off the promenade with good proximity to the town centre, walking distance, but nice and quiet at night, we will definitely stay there next time we are in Blackpool, but will ask for the junior suite so we have a bit more room. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

The cleanliness was very good, and it was stylish - we liked the idea of the honesty bar too :) - Trish was very friendly and very chatty, Chris made us feel a tiny bit like teenagers and read the rules out to us as soon as we walked in - but still very friendly and helpful! The room was too small for us, the tele was very small, could hardly see the picture and there was a lot of ''bird mess'' all over the sea view windows (i know that couldnt have been helped though:)

We had an extremely warm welcome from Chris and Trish which lasted throughout our 3 day stay. The room was warm, spacious and beautifully colour co-ordinated. The breakfast menu was diverse, well cooked and presented, mouthwatering, especially the homemade banana tea bread. It would be difficult not to recommend the Windsor Carlton to anyone as it ticks all the boxes. It is like a little oasis.
