Winelodge  

Although the room was very small it was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed including hair drier, iron/board, TV and coffee making facilities. Also, the room was at the rear of the hotel and very quiet which was what I wanted! I slept well. It was cold when I arrived but a wall mounted independent heater soon warmed up the room! The staff were very helpful!

The room had tinted and VERY small mirrors, also strangely located - impossible to see hair/makeup clearly! Needed a full length non tinted mirror on wardrobe door! The bar area was small and not particularly comfortable, needs more small tables and chairs!

Very friendly staff and the rooms were kept clean with nice modern furniture. The free wifi was brilliant. The food was also of a good standard.

The drain from the shower made a few noises throughout the night but nothing too loud.

Stayed many times at the Winelodge visiting family in the area The rooms have everything you need for a short stay ,the breakfast is good and the bar food is very reasonable. location is great very close to the sea.

Its starting to looked rundown now could do with a refurbishment,or just repaint and new beds

The bed was very comfortable the rooms are stylish and functional. The staff listen when you asked or told them things they are friendly without being over attentive. The breakfast was included in the price of the room, these were good sized portions and tasty too

The shower head didn't work however we were only staying for two nights and we didn't mention it to the staff until we were leaving as it proved a good excuse to laze in the bath

This place just needs a bit of loving. In some places it's a bit tired. Excellent shower. A good size room. It was good for what we wanted and at an excellent price. Able to park outside on the road.

Shower needed a good clean and maybe a new bed, toilet roll holder and sink.

Nice breakfast, good location and friendly staff.

Dusty ceiling and behind bed. Sewage smell coming from bathroom and toilet making a strange noise. No plug sockets near the bed. Only two plug sockets with one being taken up by tv. Two lamps without light bulbs.

The staff were incredibly friendly and as helpful as humanly possible to make our stay one of a memorable nature.I would highly recommend it to everyone who was planning on staying in the area.

They wouldn't massage my head and belly to ease my hangover :)

Convenient location, modern room, affordable and good food.

No-one at reception so had to oddly check in at the bar. Staff aren't really switched on here and there aren't enough of them, the hotel needs a good manager.

Rooms were lovely, fridge in room made a whole difference, food great value for money, drinks reasonably priced

good food and wine at the bar downstairs friendly and helpful staff room was good for the price

no dedicated parking but lots of unlimited street side parking was available. This may be an issue during holiday season. Not really an issue

room had quite a lot of dust, in drawers, (hair on hairdryer) and on bed head ( but it wasnt a huge problem to us but could be to other guests)

Poor lighting in room, bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, room had not been cleaned properly there was still rubbish in the bin in the bathroom.

Filthy room. Random stains on just about every surface. Previous guests dirty towels left in bathroom. Inadequate blinds letting the sun in and people look through window. This hotel also has a noisy bar, we had a room on the ground floor so was disturbed when they were closing up (loud dragging of chairs around). Fights outside window. Terrible hotel.

The room was good size, clean and comfortable. I would stay at this hotel again but wouldn't have breakfast.

Breakfast wasn't up to standard. I didn't eat anything apart from toast. My partner ate it all and was sick within half an hour. Do not recommend having full English breakfast.

The friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable and very cosy warm-the weather outside was freezing. The food was excellent-the portions were huge and well presented.would definately stay again.

The location was near the sea front and we could see it from our window. The staff were very polite and helpful. The full breakfast was excellent! The kfc was next door so that was convenient The cost of the room was fantastic! £35.00 for a night and that was including breakfast!

Although the room had heating we were very cold at night. The windows were letting through a bad draught despite of the curtains. There was one thin duvet on the bed which is great for the summer but not enough for the winter. As a suggestion maybe this hotel could add a couple of spare blankets to their rooms as I believe this is the practice of most hotels for such a cold night. Nevertheless Fantastic stay!

The staff, the breakfast

The room size, the mould round the shower, the shower that didn't turn off, the bathroom sink that was cracked and had no plug, the toilet paper that was sooo thin, the wardrobe that was so narrow you couldn't put a coat hanger horizontal, the stains on the dressing table, the dog eared hotel guide, the plastic chair, the smell of the electric heater, the biscuits, the lack of parking outside the hotel, the night club across the road that I didn't see in any adverts.

The wine lodge was a good price with good location and most staff were good and good meals and clean room

The room was small the cleaner did not give us clean towels on our second day even though she was told to she left cleaning things at the top of the staires for us to trip over and our room was very noisy with a generator going all night

Very friendly staff rooms very comfortable food very good value for money

Only problem was the parking we had to fight for spaces as on a one way system
