Very welcoming and friendly staff, good surroundings, good food

Somewhat disorganised; e.g. didn't get our wine until end of first course, and (more importantly) our morning wakeup call didn't happen

The hotel was clean, staff were polite.

The restaurant was very expensive for poor quality food. We had the rump steak which was very tough. The wine selection was very expensive but the actual quality of wine was very poor, sharpness you'd associate with very cheap wine. We had to discard the first bottle it was so bad (and still got charged), and the £30 bottle wasn't much better either! 'Breakfast included' was basically a few slices of toast and a small choice of cereals. Overly priced for what they deliver.

I used the hotel just because it was close to Bristol airport, but I found the place very comfortable and stylish - and the staff were impeccable. Good food too at a reasonable price.

Staff-Exclusively English, and refreshingly, friendly and welcoming! Breakfast-Full breakfast very good, and breakfast room quiet and relaxing.

Some of the fittings, especially in the bathroom were style over substance, the toilet dispenser, soap dispenser in shower. No shaving/make up mirror. Little things I know but they stood out in an otherwise lovely place.

Twin room was a nice large size but disabled bathroom was unnecessary. We should have been made aware of this when booking.

Peace, tranquillity, very relaxing, ALL staff extremely friendly, polite and always smiling. Fresh homemade biscuits and fresh milk for our teas/coffees. Continental breakfast really varied and fresh. Our room VERY comfortable. As for the restaurant, we had an evening meal there and the chef Toby is an excellent cook and one evening we also opted for room service, and again the food up to parr. Definitely be coming back here again, in fact, cant wait!!!

10/out of 10! great stop/over for bristol airport, tasty early morning breakfast,room was clean ,great value!

The dinner was wonderful - one of the best meals we've had in a long time (save for the coffee which was dire). Breakfast was adequate, (though again very poor coffee). The staff were very friendly and efficient, and the hotel clean and reasonably comfortable. It was also very close to Bristol Airport (the reason for our stay).

There was a rather characterless, motel-like, feel to the interior design of the hotel - there was no sign within it that this was at its heart a manor house.

The clean bedroom and bathroom.

The bathroom light is on a sensor which did not work so therefore the bathroom light stayed on all night and kept clicking on/off, even when bathroom door kept shut. Parking is directly below the windows of some of the rooms and when guests leave for early flights ie. 6.30am they have little consideration for other guests and slam every car door and talk loudly thereby waking anyone sleeping above the car-park, so make sure you book a room on the back if possible away from the parking. The breakfast is self-serve not a problem, but only continental, cooked breakfast can be booked at an extra cost, there is a sign in reception, not very large up hight and not in full view and you are not told this on arrival neither is this fact pointed out..

The staff were incredibly polite and kind (almost timid) to us and the hotels mascot (a fluffy dog named after the hotel) was a perfect reflection of that. The grounds were great for a wee walk to work off dinner, and the room was comfortable and was perfect for the single night we stayed. The food and service was amazing. Everything was clean and tidy. The location is a little off the beaten track, but we found it easily enough (nothing a gps cant fix!) and the countryside setting more than makes up for the travel. Plus its 10 minutes drive from either Bristol or the airport so its a perfect stop over.

For our single night there we found nothing to criticise, a rare feat!

Lugar muy tranquilo, con bonitos jardines y relativamente cercano al aeropuerto.

Es ideal para pernoctar cerca del aeropuerto si se dispone de vehículo propio o alquilado. Yo no iría si tuviese que ir en transporte publico.

Dicht bij vliegveld. Transferservice vliegveld/hotel (3 pond 50). Mooie tipical English locatie. Restaurant, kleine kaart maar erg smakelijk. Prima voor 1 nacht in mijn geval zakelijk verblijf.

WIFI aanwezig en gratis. Echter in de kamers erg slechte tot geen verbinding mogelijk. Ben uiteindelijk maar in de lobby gaan zitten met iPad.

A clean, comfortable & friendly hotel to stay at with convenient distance to the airport. Airport transfers were an attraction with the car kept in safety during my holiday in Spain. Good restaurant & menu and a very good evening meal which I enjoyed. Would consider staying again either for weekend break or overnight for airport convenience. Good service all round.

A little pricey - perhaps deals for just an overnight stay.
