On return to Bristol Airport, the arrival of the transfer bus was easy and quick but the drive back to the hotel was rather scary. The driver said very little, he drove very fast, the seatbelt in the back seat did not fasten. I felt nervous on this trip back to the hotel.
We arrived at the hotel and were shown to our room which was more of a chalet. We were given fresh milk which was thoughtful.
By the time we setlled in it was around 2:00 am and we were very tired, it had been a long day.We woke late, understandibly, too late to make breakfast. We checked out out at 10:40, 10minutes late, I mentioned to the receptionist that we arrived late to the room, that we were very hungry but she replied that we had missed breakfast and offered us nothing. I felt she could have been a little more helpful, I'm sure a piece of toast would not have been too much to ask, we had paid for Bed and Breakfast. We found the room cold on arrival, and could not warm up even with the thin duvet. Bear in mind we had just spent 7 days in temperatures of 30 degrees plus, we would find it cold. Maybe something the hotel could bear in mind for guests returning from a holiday and checking in early hours of the morning.
I was given my car keys and shown to my car, my car was filthy, it was full of dust and leaves, I'd had it valed before my holiday and was shocked how dirty it was.
On arrival we found the grounds, reception area and bar stunning. The outbound transfer to Bristol aiprort was efficient, the driver very friendly.
Very efficient service on arrival at reception.
