Ideal for an inexpensive stay in Cheltenham, a little bit out of town but still only a 20 min walk to the centre. Very clean rooms and well equipped with tea/coffee, biscuits.

The host was nice, hospitable and flexible. The full English breakfast was well cooked and used fresh produce. The kids loved the tomatoes and the mushrooms and finished the whole meal two days in a row!

Friendly and helpful owner, excellent breakfast, the hotel was immaculate - such a contrast to many that are a little "tired". Our only criticism was that the TV in the room was tiny, had we wished to watch it.

Lovely looking property, well presented with ample parking. Easy to find location. Generally very clean. Attractively priced. Comfortable bed and potentially a very nice room and hotel. Booked a single ensuite but when I arrived they had double booked so I got a single non-ensuite (although I did have my own bathroom down the corridor). Not good when running a marathon in the morning. Had to ask to pay the lower price appropriate to the non-ensuite. Bedside light worked but main light and shaver light didn't. Curtains didn't block any light. Window wouldn't shut properly so my room was noisy as the hotel is on a fairly busy road. Window sill could have done with a dust. Television wasn't tuned in - to any channel at all! Only staying one night so couldn't be bothered to say anything.

Very quiet and pleasant area. Good for long country walks. Sarah and John were very helpful, kind and patient. I found the old country look and feel of the decor, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was excellent. Recommend the Sunday carboot fair at the racecource. Should have more info about how to get about -maps, bus schedule etc. Plumbing needs an overhaul - complicated taps, water temp a bit iffy.

Conveniently located for walking into town centre, parking onsite, spacious room, very clean, reasonably priced, free wifi, good shower. Some of the furniture was a little care worn and the room decor could do with updating. The breakfast was fried and we weren't asked whether we wanted everything, or offered a choice of eg how eggs were cooked. Other than that a pleasant stay.

Good choice for breakfast and flexible time to eat.Very friendly owner. Not a four star standard hotel . The whole hotel smelt of stale food . The room was at the top of the hotel up several flights of stairs ,no warning of this on booking and not suitable for the elderly or infirm. I felt rushed on the day of departure as the owner knocked on the door to ask us to leave so the cleaner could start cleaning the room.
