All fine except that they said they'd do their best to get us an early check in but when we arrived at 12.00 the room was empty but they hadn't done anything. So we left our bags etc at reception and they said they'd take them to the room- but they didn't! Poor service.

The friendliness of the staff made this a great place to stay. Nothing was too much trouble, special thanks to the lovely chap who looked after us at breakfast. Very comfortable room and everything you need, just a bit disappopinted in the shower, which had very poor flow and difficult to turn on and off.

We have stayed at the Witney Four Pillars on a few occasions. Its a great base for getting out into the lovely little villages, and also quite handy for Oxford. The food and service are good - as always, and I used the gym - to help burn off the calories. Good location, good people, - a good weekend!

Breakfast was poor. The buffet was not replaced when empty so when we went to get our food there was nothing there.

Friendly staff, spacious room, good food. Great location for the Wychwood brewery and the Cotswold Animal Park. I hadn't realised there was a pool (probably my fault for not reading my booking properly!) and so unfortunately did not take swimwear.

We have stayed before and enjoyed so much, we decided to book again. Our evening meal in the Restaurant was very good. The room was quite spacious and bed very comfortable. Excellent location to surrounding Cotswold area. Just one thing in that, the bathroom was a little tired

Good location, easy reach of Oxford. The staff are very helpful and friendly especially the bar staff. The hotel appears to be a bit run down and I would doubt it's four star rating.

I liked that it was clean and the staff made a mistake with the reservation, the room maids bent over backwards for us to have a room how we wanted. The maids were lovely to unlike the rest of the staff. The mistake with the reservation, there was no hot water in the shower, we weren't shown how to work the heater we all had a sleepless night with the heater on full. Also my 3 year old son was woken up at 2am as a member of staff was clashing tea cups etc outside our room. At breakfast we were quizzed by staff as it was on the paper work I only had 2people in my room which was highly embarrassing as we were loudly quizzed infront of the rest of your guests. I had to explain about the mistake they made and that there was more of us than was first thought. I was there to stay for one night as I was picking my husband from brize norton as he was on rnr from Afghanistan. It didn't help we left the hotel grumpy and tired. When I explained to the staff our nights stay was awful they were not helpful or apologetic in anyway.

Forgot to ask for groundfloor room because disabled. Lovely receptionist Maisie changed us immediately to the disabled suite on groundfloor with no hesitation. Staff in dining room were very friendly and were diplomatic in asking us and new friends to vacate the room as it was 11 P.M. Also the disabled suite was wonderful. Neither of us in a wheelchair but appreciated the facilities I.e space and the great wet room. Bed was wonderfully comfortable. As my family lives nearby in villages and we have friends in Witney (ex mayor) we shall stay in future and I recommend it to other relatives. Food was lovely and plenty choice.

We liked that the hotel is located very near family and that it is a friendly place with helpful staff. We very much liked the room and the fact that you have a spa, including a swimming pool. We did not know about the spa beforehand so we did not use it but we were made welcome to look around. We were not over happy about the beds as they were a bit uncomfortable - maybe a little too hard and the pillows were both too hard.

Lovely hotel, easy parking, grand restaurant. Nice bed and plasma tv. When I checked in, settled in my room - the lights in my room went off/cut out. Whilst they immediately tended to my problem they left me in my dark room whilst trying to sort the problem out - after 30 mins I asked if they could move me to another room, they did this without any problems. What I felt was that if there was a problem with my room, they should have offered me a c complimentary drink in the hotel bar whilst they were sorting the problem out. This would have been more pleasant than waiting in a pitch black room!

It was reasonably easy to find. It was within walking distance to both the town centre and the Witchwood Brewery. On a previous visit we had enjoyed delicious food. It had a spa facility. The bar area.

The hotel was well situated and although close to the road no road noise can be heard from within. The room was very clean and comfortable. As much as I was aware that the hotel is used as a venue I was not to impressed with the fact that a teenage party was held on the Friday evening and a number of teenagers drinking cans of beer and making noise outside the hotel, this was made worse by the hotel not cleaning up any of the mess outside and when leaving on Sunday the empty cans of beer and sick where still not cleaned up. As much as I have no problem with teenages enjoying themselves I feel that if the hotel agree to allow the parties they should clean up all the mess afterwards.
