The staff were excellent! Apart from on check out. The location itself is very peaceful and the hotel is lovely. The room was very large with a wonderful bathroom
The restuarant ran out of steaks by 8pm. Then the dessert we wanted. At breakfast they ran out of toast ? We had to complain about the constant noise from the room above which finally stopped at 3.30am. Such a shame as apart from above we enjoyed our stay. Nothing was done to compensate
This place looked spectacular.
The restaurant was closed due to a private function on the night we were there and this was one of the reasons we booked this place.noh well we can't have everything.
position of hotel and the character still in keeping with the new additions
the breakfast has very limited options and the breakfast opening times was limited (7-9:30)
The staff were excellent. The suite was large and well appointed. The restaurant was a little remote but good.Car parking is not straightforward.
The place is very hard to locate by SatNav.The entrance is tatty.Opposite the suites is where the staff hang out, noisily at times. My suite had a layer of dust on the top side of the beams. The curtains would not close properly.
The whole experience was first rate.
Restaurant was very cold
Everything about this hotel is perfect, amazing rooms, lovely hotel, great food in the restaurant, staff polite and very helpful, would defiantly stay again
~Upgraded to a suite which was well equipped and spacious. ~Friendly staff. ~Excellent high quality food in the restaurant.
Our coffee/cappuchino machine didn't work, so they exchanged it. No problem with that, but how you are supposed to make a cappuchino with little UHT milk cartons I don't know!
Courteous, attentive staff. Very nice large room.
Coffee machine did not work. But was replaced. Didn't like location.
Although we were aware of the University surroundings, and although it was undeniably obvious the hotel clientele did not represent a normal cross section of our society, it did not deter in any way from the enjoyment of our stay. No disapproval inferred. Excellent.
The lounge lighting seemed gloomy and uninviting.
Room and bathroom clean. Staff in restaurant polite. Check in and out quick and efficient.
Menu in restaurant was limited, trifle inedible! We had to fill our own wine glasses as staff too busy chatting to each other, which was a shame as we ended up being the only guests in dining room at 9pm!
Our entire stay was excellent.
Very few problems with a fantastic hotel.
Quiet. Attentive staff.
Too much light spilling in at night from wardrobe light.
building awesome. staff amazing. excellent value for money. food delicious.room gorgeous.love that students learn and work . great for everyone. interesting to learn about history of building and those that work and study there.
we loved everything. tour of all the house would b a good idea. we were shown around ground floor by an amazing lady. would love to see everything.
Helpfulness of all the staff Good quality food
Annoying noisy floorboards in King Coel room
First class hotel with first class service.. top notch!!
Was a very enjoyable stay only one night was not enough will hope to return for along weekend. will keep our eyes open for your offers they are exellent.
The shower had poor pressure
Love the staff, the rooms and facilities, the grounds. A real pleasure to stay - very relaxing
Friendly and helpful staff feeling of luxury and comfort in the rooms Lovely shower! Beautiful surrounding and great convenience if visiting the university. Would recommend and intend to stay again. Look out for discounted rates! Nice food and not very expensive but then not cheap either.
Beds needed to be turned more often. When people sit on the side of the beds it makes them slope down.
We had a suite and room was great. Lounge area and papers very nice.
Spend 1 night and had booked a couple of suites which wasn't cheap. Bar staff looked blank when I asked for champagne. Tried to book table for dinner and told was 8 but couldn't be sure it would be confirmed. We went out for a meal in the end ! Breakfast menu confusing, said something like buffet and choice of one of the following....goes onto list various items of which they are actually included....no full stops
Everything. Staff friendly, room comfortable and well equipped, and Lovely views from our balcony.
Nothing. All fine Thank you.
The hotel overall was absolutely lovely and would definite visit again
Location. Staff. Food. Cleanliness. All excellent.
Noise from parties or get togethers considering I specifically asked for a quiet room we were given a room directly above the loud live music celebrations. On ringing reception there was no positive response given other than they usually finish by about 12.30! We were away for a peaceful weekend.
The staff were friendly and polite without being obsequious. They were attentive without being intrusive. Breakfast was to die for. The room was lovely...what a view!
Nothing. It was a complete pleasure.
