The extremely pleasant and welcoming atmosphere from staff and facilities.
free Wi-Fi good location & cheap
Bad smell of curry when we arrived, got used to it after time so it seemed to go away
Clean room & breakfast
The firm pillows gave me a neckache
comfy bed polite staff clean hotel nice food
wifi is free but not great
Firstly we expected an English king sized bed. We got two one meter zipped together making 6 foot 6 inches. So instead of a 5 foot bed with no join we got a larger bed with an uncomfortable join. The duvet was the same width as the mattress. It had no overhang. It was meant for a 5 foot bed. Bigger is not necessarily better. Saturday breakfast was fine. Sunday breakfast was a big disappointment. The problem was the cooked breakfast. We arrived about 10 am about one hour before breakfast finished. When we went to select our cooked breakfast there was, no fried bread, no tomatoes, no mushrooms, no sausages, no black pudding. There was fried egg, scrambled egg, bacon and beans. We waited a few minutes. Nothing more appeared so we put some bread in the toaster. By the time the toast was done there was only one fried egg left. The same problem with breakfast occurred at the Holiday Inn Cardiff also on a Sunday during the August Bank Holiday weekend. Is this a related problem.
Bed and Breakfast
The hotel is in an ideal position very close to the shops and not far from the station..We often travel to woking to visit our son so we will definately be back.
Shower a bit dated and water very hot.
Nice soft bed but pillows could do with improvement. Excellent breakfast.
Comfortable lounge and bar area
Bed for a couple was too small when compared to other high street brands
Comforable bed Nice breakfast Quiet room
e were happy to pay extra for breakfast but we did not like the fact that we had to pay an extra £15.00 for the use of the carpark for an overnigt stay. We were not aware of this at the time of booking and feel it should be made clear
Paid WiFi. In current days internet is so cheap even small hotels providing free WiFi service. Hence hotel like holiday inn should provide free WiFi and tv service
Attractive décor. Convenient dining room
A parking fine notice because I left my car outside for half an hour while checking in. A reminder of the notice by post one day before the price doubles with no acknowledgement of my appeal letter.
stayed here a few times, location and most of the staff
this time the bed was just two singles put together. the room smelt of sweat. the blonde receptionist was very rude and abrupt with no warmth at all this is the second time she has checked me in hopefully never again.
Nothing was to much trouble.
We had an executive room which was very comfortable and quiet. The bath and shower was very good and they provided decent sized towels, nice toiletries and robes (No slippers). The room has a small fridge (they offer two bottle of water as complimentary) so you can stock up yourself which I prefer. Decent size TV with a large range of channels. Breakfast was very nice. Finally I would say the customer service was really good.
If I had to be picky, I would say the two bottle of complimentary water in the (minibar) would not suffice if I had arrived late and just fancied a nightcap. I did not look into whether you could have the minibar stocked or not.
Great value for money! Comfortable size of the bed.
Tv didn't work
Central location. Less than £50 for room only despite being New Years Eve. Use multistorey car park next door and not hotel as recommended by the staff as it is cheaper. Decent bar but did not try food as within easy reach of town centre restaurants.
Value for money Friendly staff Quiet room even on New Year's Eve
No free wifi No free parking on site Buffet breakfast lukewarm
Bed Staff Spaciousness
The cost of breakfast being an average continental and english at £27 is far too much - in my view The hot water was very warm, not hot
A fantastic hotel! Would highly recommend to anyone. Very close to the the train station. Very close to the city centre. Good breakfast. Wonderful staff!
The rooms should at least have a wall clock and a portable fridge.
room was cold
Staff were excellent. Really friendly and helpful.
Car parking costs £15 overnight.
Free 30 minutes wifi would have been nice. Also, free parking.
