Really helpful made us feel at home couldn't ask for any more
Had such a lovely stay at this beautiful bed & breakfast Sandy & Grant are really lovely hosts the place itself was outstanding spotless rooms great facilities comfortable bed beautifully decorated and furnished beautiful view from our bedroom will be returning.
Luxury home from home set in an idyllic location, ideal place to relax and chillout.
Pubs and restaurants needed a cab to get to if you didn't drive, one of the nearest restaurants cost £30 round trip to get to.
We stayed in the little carriage house, which was very dreamy, romantic, and quiet. Our daughter was downstairs, which was nice, but with an open staircase so we could hear her. Breakfast was fantastic -- in all, the best hotel experience we had in a trip that went from London to Bath all through Wales.
The only problem was that the internet was acting up for some reason. We managed to connect, but it wasn't terrific.
Sandy made us feel most welcome and like part of the family. Comfortable accommodation in this beautiful property and a delicious breakfast served in the conservatory with stunning views over the countryside.
Great location, lovely house and gardens, excellent food and accommodation and friendly hosts.
There was nothing to dislike about it.
very friendly, everything was very good including breakfeast
Beautiful Interior and exterior space. Great views. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Fabulous breakfasts. Lovely dog. Good local resturants.
Some traffic noise. A bit awkward to find as the name is similar to an inn close by. The bottom corners of our bed had protrusions on which we knocked our knees.
Excellent accommodation, beautifully furnished. A very warm welcome from the hosts - tea and scones served to us on our arrival. Breakfast in the Orangery was excellent, with an outstanding choice, all freshly prepared to order, and eating 'en famille' allowed us to chat with other guests. Though we didn't have time to explore them, the gardens and sports/games facilities seemed excellent. There were splendid views from our room and the situation(only a few miles outside Shrewsbury) was ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside or the town. We would recommend Wollaston Lodge for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
The only disadvantage was the number of quite steep steps from the car park to the front door, and the stairs to the bedrooms. This would not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. Otherwise, it is hard to find any fault.
We loved everything about this beautiful home! Sandy and grant are perfect hosts and every room is stunning with precise attention to detail! Loved it!
Pub/hotel quite good, you can have a drink before bed, easy location to spot on the sea front
The house is beautiful, as are the gardens and the views from the property. The attention to detail is very good and a high quality breakfast is on offer. We enjoyed lovely tea and home made cakes on arrival.
We didn't get to stay in one of the rooms on the website, ours was nice but much plainer so it is hard for me to comment on the bedrooms, but other guests were very happy with theirs.
Friendly welcome, beautiful home, excellent location. Very good breakfast with fresh fruits.
Perfect setting and Sandy was the perfect host - sorry we missed Grant! We also had an evening meal cooked by Sandy which was equally as good as the amazing breakfast. The gardens were beautiful and we hit a great summers evening to enjoy them.
What's not to like? Beautiful house, stunning and spacious rooms, tasteful decor and an amazing, locally sourced breakfast.
A beautifully decorated house with excellent facilities and a warm welcome. Breakfast was almost anything you wanted with great quality.
Even though we stayed in this lodge shortly, we had many memorable moments. Thanks to Grant.
Beautiful location, and woderfully comfortable room. would thoroughly recommend
Location, room extremely comfortable bed, wonderful views, fantastic breakfast. All in all a wonderful b&b.
Couldn't fault it.
The location of Wollaston Lodge is lovely, not far off the main road, but looking out over rolling countryside which you can enjoy whilst eating your breakfast in the Orangery. The house is tastefully decorated throughout and very clean and well kept. The room we had was spacious, warm and cosy with plenty of storage, excellent facilities and luxurious bathroom. There is also a guest lounge available. The full English breakfast was the best I have had when stopping away from home. The hosts were very friendly and were there help in anyway they could. Very good value for money - and a nice treat if you fancy a bit of luxury.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
The location and views were great.
The bathroom had no extractor fan so everything misted up.
We stayed at Wollaston as we were attending a wedding along the road. Guy couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming and Lara the dog was a lovely addition. The house is absolutely beautiful and the rooms were huge and immaculate, extremely good value for money. Breakfast in the morning was a free choice of whatever we would like and all tasted amazing.
Absolutely nothing I didn't like about Wollaston Lodge
