A pretty, traditional, small country village.
A pretty, traditional, small country village. It is situated near woodland and historical abbey ruins and was quiet at night (my companion and I were out all day, each day). It’s handy for many visitor attractions (Rievaulx Abbey; Helmsley Walled Garden and castle; the National Bird of Prey Centre… to name but four). The evening menu was extensive and all the food we had was really tasty. We enjoyed everything about our stay. We had been going to stay in Helmsley (10 minutes away) but were so glad we chose Wass instead.
