Location- beautiful, peaceful, away from everything. Food excellent - friendly staff. Best place we have ever stayed in.

There was nothing to dislike unless you wanted to be in the middle of a town- which we didn't.

Lovely welcome, nothing too much trouble. Great breakfast, wonderful location.

The farmhouse is located about a mile from Roadwater along a very narrow lane. This may be a problem if you aren't a confident driver.

We loved how friendly the family were, how genuinely welcoming the atmosphere was, and how relaxed all the guests seemed to be. Being welcomed with a pot of tea and some cake after a four hour drive makes such a big difference to your day, and even though it is a long drive down a windy country lane, it wasn't in any way inconvenient to walk in to town to grab a pub dinner. Wood Advent Farm is beautiful, it is peaceful, quiet and refreshing - and we were only staying there as a stop-off between two destinations! Had we known just how lovely the location was and how helpful the staff were when we were booking, I dare say we would have opted to stay longer. Simply sublime.

The only thing to be wary of is the distance you have to travel to get away from the Farm in to town, or main roads. Not a problem if you are there to relax - in fact it hugely aides that - but if you are intending on venturing out, be prepared for a bit of a drive.

A tranquil location with plenty of open space and hiking options. Made very welcome Lovely breakfast and afternoon tea. The small swimming pool was a bonus.

No phone signal, but as there was wi-fi and I came away to get away, this really wasn't a problem.

We liked almost everything! The room was spacious and the bathroom large and very well appointed. The friendliness and helpfulness of John and Diana could hardly have been better. They even marked my wife's birthday with a card and box of chocs - and insisted on driving us to and from the local pub for the birthday dinner! Tea was always offered on the sunny terrace in the afternoon. We did not sample the pool. The gardens are spacious and beautiful. All very peaceful.

Some of the local lanes are very narrow and passing places well spaced out. Unfortunately the council had been late cutting the hedges this summer, which made things worse. However, hedging was done while we were there and it made all the difference. The best access is via Roadwater village; this keeps the narrow part down to about a mile.

The guest house is a farmhouse full of charm and character in a wonderful peaceful location. You can relax in a beautiful garden. Breakfasts were of the highest quality You are made to feel very welcome. Plenty of literature and maps for those interested in walking in the National Park

The approach roads to the farm are very narrow and meeting cars travelling in the opposite direction may well tax you reversing skills, but this didn't detract from our enjoyment of the holiday.

    Great house, nice people.

Trying to find farm even with sat nav & would have liked a separate shower other than one in the bath.

Excellent (once found), a superb farmhouse in a remote and undisturbed location. Big rooms, superbly appointed and an excellent breakfast.

Hard to find through details on the Booking.com site - forgot my OS map! The proprietor said she had made representations to Booking.com to get them enhanced as she wouldn't be able to find it from the instructions!

the green sweep of the land, the birdsong, the house, the welcome from the owners John and Diana, the trees, garden and landscape, the other guests, the meals.

The instructions for finding Wood Advent farm on the booking.com website were erroneous and did not work. I found it by driving extra miles and stopping and asking people. This was frustrating. The correct instructions would be:- From the A 39 continue straight over the crossing with the B3190 .Then left onto the road to Cleeve Abbey . Take the RT fork signposted Roadwater. Continue some way through Roadwater and past the shop.Take the second of two close together turnings on theLT. In a few yards you will see on the RT a brown sign saying 'Old Mineral Route'. Continue along the red earth track for some way around the hill . Wood Advent Farm is at the end.
