Woodbury Park Hotel  

Liked the location and the spa facilities. Also friendly, efficient staff.

Despite the hotel not being at all busy, our room was overlooking the internal restaurant atrium. The hotel is in beautiful grounds, this was very disappointing. The booking.com confirmation stated the room should be overlooking either the golf course or the estuary. We had poor nights sleep due to lack of air as could not open window for fresh air as internal only.

The standard of accomadation deserves its 4star rating.

I was with a group of 8 forty-something lads celebrating my impending 50th birthday....the hotel had everything we could have wanted, good bars in both the hotel and golf clubhouse, great lunchtime menu, and very clean well kept buildings and surroundings

I think the food service in the clubhouse needs speeding up, it took too long to process a food order, and we found oursleves queuing a long time for thta, and then when we wnated a coffe afterwards, we had to join a long line of people waiting to order food....why can't the bar serve hot drinks to take the pressure off of the food service point...?

only hotel that could offer 3 nights accomodation in a row close to Sidemouth. Certain staff were obviously working harder than others in attempting to make the hotel enjoyable.

Excellent service and friendly staff in reception, bar and restauarnt.

Soul-less. 80 people in hotel. None in restaurant very few in bar. Way too expensive. Staff very nice indeed.

Had a bar meal from the dinner menu which was very slow to be served and once it did arrive it was cold. Very inexperienced staff behind the bar.Brakfast supposed to start at 7.00am I did not get my order taken until 7.15. staff seemed to be strolling in at 7.05-7.10-7.15 without a worry all very young all very inexperienced.

One word answers are hopeless - the reception desk - until last person to deal with me were not brilliantly helpful but restaurant were really nice. Obviously I booked because of location AND really good rate - I was looking for a night's break on a drive to Cornwall but was misled by the website - golfing paradise isn't mine and I did rather miss a nice garden or outside space to sit in!

As I said - reception on arrival not great or helpful until pushed - no one said there was a lift as I - not really elderly but 67 and tired - lugged my case upstairs...... It wasn't ideal for me because I wanted a country location with some welcoming outside to sit in not just cars and gold course - as I said above didn't analyse the booking.com website closely enough!! also your walls are rather thin and the very noisy couple next door woke me at midnight, talked loudly for about an hour and then had an alarm call at 6 am - not what I wanted instead of a good night's sleep....
