Not bad pub price of ale fair quite a choice also
Room not best they do have better television was poor reception found a old chocolate wrapper under chest of drawers
Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Friendly host and hostess. Enjoyable quiz night on Tuesday, where we won one round and came third overall.
Narrow stairs to bedroom on 2nd floor.
Room was ideal for my one night stay.
Could have been cleaner - two cobwebs in room complete with spiders. Milk cartons out of date. Basic stuff of any accom provider I would have thought.
Room was large and well equipped, food was excellent. Friendly hosts and customers. Was on a business trip but made to feel at home. Keep an eye out for the brockely eating dog
good food and beer friendly staff
poky room poor choice of preview
the room was comfortable with decent facilities
ingress of noise from single glazed window
Great welcome, clean room, great traditional genuine pub and very well kept beer. Good fry up for breakfast
Bed a bit hard, small compact bathroom, noisy road
A large room with lovely high ceiling and exposed beams. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.
Noisy macerating toilet.
Well appointed room and great staff/owners. As long as you are aware of the access rules (see below) it is a wonderful accommodation!
Maybe it was my fault but I didn't realize the access to the rooms was thru the pub itself. This meant you had to be in your room by the time the pub closes or you were locked out. Also, in the morning, if the owners had to be somewhere, that meant you had to be out of your room because they couldn't leave with you there so that was a bit of a pain, and of course, we couldn't go back to our room until they returned.
nice staff the breakfast was brilliant I loved your dog
the bathroom was a bit small
Great beer, wonderful mushroom stroganoff, yummy veggie breakfast, good location for exploring Bewdley, building with great character, staff pleasant and helpful. I felt comfortable here.
The morning coffee was to weak for my taste (so not a big deal but probably best to say if you like it a bit stronger). I'd requested parking which they were aware of when I arrived but they hadn't been able to allocate it as they only have 2 places. The options are then down in the town - not far and free until 8am, or up quite a steep hill about 5mins walk but free. Not a real problem for me but worth knowing if essential to you.
Lovely old building, but very poor reception when we arrived. No help with bags, no welcome. No parking due to yellow lines everywhere. 2 very small spaces (full) at back of pub. Told to park the car in public car park down in town. Room VERY small with noisy toilet. Didn't have breakfast, not included in price (7.00 extra), but looked good. Not good value for money overall.
Keypad door locks, jars of coffee, food
food,staff, quirkiness of the place
lack of parking
personal code to access the room
noise from the road
The fact that we were on the top floor in sweltering heat with no offer of a fan. Actual temp 35 degrees. Didn't get any sleep and was told if nobody is up in the morning, just let yourself out of the back door. We didn't order breakfast as it was an extra £7 each and we had already spent extra on the car park. Having to walk up an extremely steep hill because there was no parking (even when I emailed in advance) quote 'its either that, or you can park on the pay and display'
The staff were helpful, and the range of beers was very good.
Located in the town. Pub was full of character and liked the train pictures everywhere. Cooked breakfast was good.
Only two small parking spaces next to pub and our reserved place was occupied all day. Had to park in nearby car park .However the landlord very kindly paid for this
We ate there once and the meals were good.
The double bed was the worst bed we've ever tried to sleep in. The management really need to sort the mattress, incredibly uncomfortable and my husband wanted to turn the mattress to see if that was any better - I stopped him, as his back hurt was already uncomfortable. Won't be staying there again.
The evening meal that we had was very good. The Russian flavour was quite novel. The staff were helpfull and friendly.
The restricted Parking and the restricted access times to register. The ensuite was cramped and the hot water almost non existent. The bed springs could be felt through the mattress.
The location of the pub was good...near enough to stretch your legs after a nights sleep. Great welcome from Oliver the dog! The pub is quirky and we liked the 'unspoilt' feel of it.
A warmer welcome would have been nice but I understand that not all travellers would want this as part of the experience. That may have encouraged us to spend time in the pub for a drink and/or food.
Lovely room and bed
Excellent location for anyone using the Severn Valley Railway.
The place is nice and comfortable. It's a quite hotel to stay. Also the host is very friendly.
