Staff could not do enough for you, food choice and quality was excellent, well equipped room.
Not a Wi-fi hot spot
Although arriving late after the restaurant had stopped serving meals , the chef stayed on and cooked us an excellent Dinner. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to look after us. Room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
Currently wifi not available in bedrooms but only in the main building.
Friendly comfy hotel excellent room good service
All round excellent for service, value and comfort. Beautiful decor Comfortable and clean Spacious Great food - good selection and value for money. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and helpful
Bed was a little hard. A choice of pillows would be good too.
Lovely place, excellent staff and convenient for so many attractions in the area.
We only stayed for one night which was a shame. We were greeted by the proprietor who was extremely friendly and nothing too much trouble. As we had arrived after the restaurant had shut we were unable to sample their food but were recommended a place just up the road which was still open and very good. The rooms we had were nice and spacious, beds were comfy and very clean. We didn't book breakfast as we were heading straight off the next day, so cannot comment on food. But overall, the hotel was well worth the money. The bar was good, they had an open mic night on and was busy we found a table and two chairs and without us asking, the proprietor went and found two more chairs for the rest of our party immediately. We will most definitely stay here again and look forward to seeing more of 'The Secret Garden'
Shower a bit small
Good and well run hotel
Only one very thin pillow each.
Good location. Very handy for trains to Liverpool and Chester. All day parking at station for 80p. Friendly and helpful staff. Room large, clean & looked recently refurbished. Food good.
Our room was separate from main building in the garden area. Not a problem for us but not handy in bad weather. Alarm set off at 4 a.m., we think accidentally by member of staff! Dinner service slow but there were 2 groups in that night.
Friendly staff and accessibility Great bathrooms, comfortable beds
Cobwebs and layer of dust under the bed, spiders! And more spiders! Pillows a bit flat
The staff were lovely, the hotel was beautifully decorated, our room was spacious and overlooked the garden. The hotel was lovely and clean, breakfast menu had lots to choose from.
The room we were in seemed not to have any plugs near the only mirror. Makes getting ready a little awkward if you need a mirror to dry and straighten your hair. No other negatives.
I was informed that the TV in the room received different channels to the main hotel. The reality was that the TV did not receive any channels at all. The breakfast was overcooked.
The Staff, the room and the location to the golf, recommend this hotel to anyone
Kitchen extractor just below our bedroom window very noisy at 6 in the morning
Woodcote House hotel lives up to its reviews and I have pleasure in repeating the postive reviews. Staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. Rooms are lovely and very spacious. Excellent value for money and I wont be booking into any other big name chain hotel again after staying here. I highly recommend this hotel. Well done to the owners youve got it just right.
I actually cant find anything negative to say.
lovely well run hotel close 2 m53 relaxing stay lovely gardens well worth the money
the staff.good food beautifull garden rooms nice everything perfect. Thank You
Room decor, comfortable bed, lovely walled garden
Nothing. However whilst we liked being on top floor, maybe difficult for someone with mobility issues - plenty of ground floor rooms
This is the second time I've stayed at Woodcote House and both times the welcome has been very friendly, and the room lovely and individual. The evening meal both times was delicious, reasonably priced with attentive staff keen to ensure that the meal is to your liking. I would have no hesitation in recommending Woodcote House.
A wonderful host who could not have been more helpful.
I have stayed in many hotels in and around Chester. This comes top of my list. We had a garden room which was lovely the garden is beautiful. This is an independent hotel with the owners hands on. The food was home cooked and very good. The service was excellent nothing was to much trouble.
Friendly staff not part of a chain
Lack of food etc on the Sunday night The nearest open restaurant was pointed out
The comfort of the room which was spotless and huge. The food which was very good and the staff which were very friendly and helpfull
The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We had a good meal in the restaurant and sat outside in the beautiful back garden in the evening.
Our room was at the top of a long steep flight of stairs which made taking the baggage up a bit difficult. The room had a mustiness about it as if it was a smokers room.
Ideal location for Open Golf Championship. Very helpful staff. Good WiFi. Plenty of parking.. Nice Garden. Quality food.
