Meals are excellant, staff are friendly & informative. Highly recommend.
All the others could learn a lot from Woodcote House. Friendly staff, beautiful decor, very nice restaurant and a modern comfortable room.
Lovely staff nice garden
In room 19 where we where there was right next to us a generator which kept us awake most of the night I did complain.
well run hotel with lovely staff. room had all that is needed to give a very comfortable stay. breakfast was excellent with wide variety of cereal and a great 'English breakfast'.
Room clean and a nice size.
Noise from local pub when closing. Only a problem if you need early night.
Extremely clean. Helpful, friendly staff. Superb dining. Large, warm, comfortable rooms. A real nothinghome from home.
Very helpful staff and good food enjoyed by my wife and I. Close to railway easy access for Liverpool
Payment on line includes American Express but not accepted at Hotel (just remove it from the advert). Not much around it, pubs ect.
Lovely room, tastefully decorated. Very friendly staff on arrival.
Location, size, bathroom, staff and meals were all good
Bed was in need of an upgrade
We were so happy to stay in a hotel that was guest friendly. Very clean...Cared for all our needs....It was a home from home for us..nice decor....lovely staff.. We will be staying again...x
Excellent food in the restaurant, with very attentive staff, who couldn't do more to make our stay very comforting and pleasing.
When booking we did not have to pay until the day we left and could cancel the day before arrival without any money being paid. Our room was excellent so clean and spacious and everyone very friendly. Would go again.
Our sat nav only took us to the village itself even though we put the post code in, we had to ask for directions.
the hotel was lovely, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, our room for some reason was upgraded to one of the best and it was absolutely gorgeous with a queen queen sized bed! Will 100% be coming back!
A good example of how b & b guesthouse in UK should be ....no faults at all. And close enough to get into Chester 25 mins max 20quid taxi ...worth considering for race day's when Chester full and expensive accommodation
The room, and facilities are very modern. Staff very helpful and polite.
The hotel is very nicely decorated and the staff were very attentive. The restaurant for breakfast was very pleasand and the food was good. We were also very pleased with the decor in the room.
The shower in the bathroom was very spongy on the base and felt insecure. The room was nicely decorated but the bed was very hard and uncomfortable which resulted in a very poor night's sleep.
Friendly staff rooms spacious and comfortable
Its location close to Hooton station and its good link to Liverpool. Friendliness and efficiency of staff.
Nothing major. Evening meal slightly overpriced. Furniture and bathroom a bit dated.
Rooms were in an annexe building which was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly.
No shelf in bathroom for toiletries. We were aware restaurant would be closed on the Sunday evening due to it being a bank holiday weekend but disappointed to be told it would also be closed Monday ... No wifi in the rooms either
Greeted by an excellent receptionist. She was so helpful, cheerful and efficient and showed us to our room which was outside the main hotel at the end of a little block of rooms (18). It was a little dark on the path because I think one of the motion sensor lights didn’t come on. It was a cold evening but our room very quickly warmed up when we put the radiator on. Spacious room, attractive decor newly-done, nice wooden floor, good lighting. We appreciated the de-caffeinated coffee sachets and the offer of fresh milk instead of those little uht containers – very thoughtful. We also appreciated the luggage rack (why don’t all hotel rooms have one?) and the comfortable armchair. There was a vanity table and chair although OH would have preferred a desk he could get his knees under. Our bed was large and very comfortable, plenty of pillows. The bathroom was large and attractive with an idiot-proof rain-shower and plenty of surfaces for toiletries and clothes. So quiet here, we had a very good night’s sleep. Unfortunately, we had to leave early next morning before breakfast. A cheery send-off by the morning staff. Would definitely come back again to this very reasonably priced little hotel.
The hotel was lovely. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. When I arrived I had been upgraded for free which was a lovely surprise! My room was beautifully decorated, really spacious and homely. Lovely large en suite bathroom. All very quiet. Ate in the restaurant in the evening. Had a wonderful, very reasonably priced meal. All in all my stay was great and I would definitely stay there again.
I cooudnt access the wifi in my room. There was something wrong with the phone in my room so I had trouble ringing reception. In the morning I needed a hair dryer but because of the problem with the phone I couldn't ring reception! Went down to breakfast with wet hair and got a hair dryer whilst I was down there which was no big issue.
Good staff, accommodation and food. Nice location and good for travel, near motorway (but not too close) and local rail.
Only live 30 mins away buy Stayed due to a family wedding nearby, lovely welcome and the room was clean, warm and bed comfy. Ideal for visitors to chester, wirral or liverpool. Great value for money. Had a drink in the hotel bar and has a beautiful garden. The young lady who dealt with us was warm, friendly and very helpful. Would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to friends and family.
Being picky, Came in late after a wedding and was in need of a cool drink. Would of loved either a drinks machine downstairs or a small bottle of water in the room.
Excellent location for visiting Chester. Helpful and friendly owners and staff. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Pleasant restaurant where we enjoyed an evening meal. Wi-fi good in room. Would very happily return.
It was handy to the M53 to get to anywhere around the wirrel .very well situated and will revisit.
Nothing comes to mind.
