The restaurant was lovely which delicious food.......... Would recommend that you try it!! As some per some previous comments, it could be a bit noisy if your room was above the restaurant but that noise didn't disturb us. After the restaurant closed it was nice and peaceful even when it was time to serve breakfast.

Woodfalls is easy to find and has good car parking. It would be a good base for exploring the area (New Forest). My en suite room was adequate, had tea/coffee-making facilities, hair dryer built-in closet and tv. Some thought has been given to decor: my room had the fashionable 'distressed' look (which I, personally, dislike). I had a corner room with two (single-glazed) windows and, for mid-June was unseasonally cold. (There was a spare blanket in the closet.) When I arrived, at approximately four pm on a Friday, there was no hot water. Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 am Monday to Friday and between 9 and 10 am on Saturday and Sunday. There did not seem to be any flexibility here so, as I was on a weekend course (15/20 minutes drive away) which began at 9:30 I had to forego the pleasure of a 'full English'. I chose Woodfalls because I had a pleasant stay last year. (Including breakfast!) I won't be going again. (I would recommend this hotel - but with the reservations mentioned above.)

We had a very warm welcome from the proprietor on arrival, our room was very nice and very clean.we went to the bar in the evening and the staff were extremely friendly,we had a meal in the restaurant and the food was also excellent.we had a full english breakfast in the morning and it could not be faulted.my wife and I have been in the b&b and pub business for over 15 years and we would definitely reccomend this to anyone.after speaking with the proprietors we understand that they have only been there for 4 months and am sure the will be a huge success.

Staff were friendly and helpful. It was peaceful but also easy to get to from the m3. Pet friendly. Lots of walks close by. Nice atmosphere. Breakfast wasn't included. Room was cold until we turned up our radiators full blast.

Extremely friendly service. Really good food. Quiet location. Good real ale. Hotal in need of decor, and wife's face dropped at sight of the bedroom. It was however comfortable and in the main clean. Breakfast 9 to 10. With new owners it did take 45 minutes from arriving in the restaurant to get our food, and we had to hunt for cups for coffee in the mean time. Appreciate the evening meal being cooked individually but breakfast one couple at a time with that sort of delay was not good.

Lovely location on the outskirts of the New Forest. Nice drive to Southampton. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Menu was varied and food was good. Room was comfortable and although over the bar and by road, not too noisy. We would stay again if in the area. Bathroom was nasty !! Although the bath, toilet and sink were clean, the walls were very stained and there was black mold above the shower. Brown paint had been used and due to condensation and no window in bathroom, the walls were heavily streaked and stained. The lamps by the bed had no switch and to operate you had to turn on at the socket behind the bedside cabinets. It was a little dusty behind there!!

If your looking for relaxing and not to do too much this is ideal! Only a short drive from other towns like the heart of New Forrest Lyndhurst with its little town and lovely common you can take long walks on. The only down fall is the set meal times breakfast 8.00 - 9.00 only, Lunch between 12-2, and dinner from 6-9pm. If you were hungry In between these times there was no other choices around.
