Spacious comfortable room and bed. Excellent breakfast. Ver peaceful and wonderful location We eat out a lot in excellent restaurants with excellent wines and by comparison felt that Woodhall food and drink, though undoubtedly high quality was very overpriced. £10 - £15. for a sandwich, and some wines marked up by 800 percent.

Not much to be honest, there was a wedding which completely took over and was far too noisy for an attempted romantic break!we were unable to relax as we had wanted to and were informed until arriving that we could not have any spa treatments. The only redeeming thing was the waitress Violetta! Over priced, lack of spa availability, poor location, wedding taking place which took over the hotel completely!

Fom the moment we entered reception, luxury and comfort oozed from every where, the staff were excellant. Our room was beautiful as was the view from the window. We enjoyed michalin star quality food at a very reasonable price. would not hesitate to stay again. we loved everything about it nothing to moan about at all.

Rooms were great - good size and very comfortable beds. The temperature in the room was perfect. They only have wireless access on the ground floor! Therefore I had to go downstairs to do any work or send emails. This is a big deterent to staying again, and they need to sort this. Even at the weekend people want to use the internet!

The food and service were as expected for the price. The view from our room was lovely. The room was shabby - the curtains were frayed and there was not enough drawer space. The room was not as spacious as we would have liked. We would have expected a fridge to store cold milk and water.

The location. The organisation of the staff and the overpricing of wine and soft drinks.

The setting of the Hotel deep in the countryside with outstanding views, excellent walks through countryside, and good spa facilities. Evening meals and drink far too expensive considering great value at the windmill pub at the end of the road.No wi-fi connection.

The food was delicious! The spa was small and was closed for the main part of our stay. We didn't receive a morning paper that was ordered and there were no slippers and only one robe in our room. A dessert order was not delivered.

My stay at Wood Hall Hotel & Spa was special because of the staff all of whom are charming, welcoming and I felt that each had my comfort at heart. Having driven from London, I was very tired and the noise (music) of the post Wedding partying prevented me from falling asleep. It was a Sunday Wedding. And Wood Hall is a glorious venue for a wedding.

Excellent staff, who made you feel welcome and at home. Beautiful historical building with splendid view over the valley. Spacious rooms, very tidy and clean. Excellent restaurant!! The menu, the food quality, the staff (again!) and the decoration. No mobile telefone network available (or hardly any reception - at least not my provider....). No wifi, and cable internet did not work properly either. I got 2 unordered 'wake up calls' in the middle of the night - which I figured it was a bug inthe wake-up call machine, however the receptionist said they don't have an automated system. Strange - but very annoying.
