The staff where very helpful, the room was of decent size, the food was lovely , and the hotel was clean,
The water pressure was poor which isn't there fault so the shower was poor, hubby tried to have a bath one night and the water was Luke warm, there wasn't much to do in the hotel on a night apart from sit in the bar, the bed was brill size but uncomfortable we didn't sleep well, but in sure other people where fine jus another personal preference.
Good quality food well cooked
nice small hotel in quiet location, warm welcome. Friendly staff, nice restaurant and lovely food
would liked to open bedroom window wider for fresh air. would have liked two armchairs in room
Very tranquil bit out of the way need a car to get around our lodge was next to the hotel so alittle noisy would have preferred one in the middle but still a lovely place to stay hotel good was lovely
Being next to the hotel alittle noisy
Had a wonderful stay at the woodlands hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and everything was provided to a high standard. The food was EXCELLENT and I would recommend eating and staying here to anybody.
nothing bad to say about the hotel- every bit was fantastic!
Everything was perfect, the staff were wonderful. And our pooch star loved every miniute of our stay
all the staff where friendly, lovely and clean rooms, nice food,
can not think of anything to moan about
The location is beautiful. Bedrooms clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly.
More variety for breakfast would be good for a longer stay
Nice and quiet excellent location for chilling out. Log Cabin was well equiped and comfortable.
The road to the Hotel was full of pot holes and was slightly of the beaten track. Was also asked for a £50 cash deposit to cover breakages and Electricity which we were not told about until we arrived. Bar areas in the Hoterl is not very big and went busy not a lot of seating easpecially as there is two caravan sites within walking distance of the hotel would use the bar and resturant.
I liked the woodland retreat and tranquility of the surroundings
The distance from the main lakes. Paying for electricity.
Super, well equipped lodges
Suana Peace and quiet Location Spacious rooms Nice to have option of going to the hotel for bar and food
Bed slightly too soft
Every thing Thanks for Mr Dan
The food was first rate and the setting, in its own grounds surrounded by woodlands looked nice. For anyone wanting a very very relaxed and secluded holiday. This is the place.
For us the main thing we didnt like was it was too secluded, with nothing to do in the hotel. Because its in woodlands off the beaten track it meant a drive along narrow roads to go anywhere. Simple things too like having to ask for basic information, for instance, what was procedure for meals, take a seat wait to be seated pay at the bar at the table etc. What was the code for Wifi. Just small concerns granted. The information should have been in the room. Plus only just luke warm water. and a very very creaky bed. Nice place but a few little things that could be improved on.
The location was great. Quiet and easy to reach via the motorway.
The lodges were too close together thought it was going to be more secluded. Note nought hot water for two baths.
Noisy kitchen extractor fan very noisy until 23.00 hours to 23.30 hours We were in room 4 Cooked breakfast could have been better
No lock on room door and shower could have been better
Quiet and peaceful location but near to routes into the Lake District. Helpful attentive staff
Very friendly staff. comfortable hotel. Excellent meals. Very peaceful and quiet. Good location for South Lakes but away from the tourists.
Nothing -everything was perfect.
Absolutely everything, it was comfortable, quiet, and we were very well looked after. The food and the staff were great, and we will definitely be visiting again.
Staff were friendly and helpful. My wife and I would have no hesitation in returning in the near future.
Bath and shower water was not the hottest and it took an age to fill the bath in Room 4. Also the door lock was a bit of a fiddle.
I liked where the property was located
the plumbing was atrocious-I heard the pipes every time anyone used a shower. the room I had was above the kitchen and smelt of any cooking going on. the bed was uncomfortable with each side of it sloping downwards
