everything about the hotel was fab
Exceeded our expectation in every way. New Year's Eve was an excellent evening and the staff are very attentive and first class all round. We will definitely be back:)
Quite location just south side of Lake District. Unfortunately we haven't had a chance to enjoy the seaside of Grange-over-Sands which just 5mins drive. Stayed in the Pine Lodges, very nice with small kids. Sauna is brilliant. Would be better if we come back again in summer time.
Would be better to have some WiFi signal in each lodges. Paying the electricity is the main down side. And £50 deposit was not mentioned when I booked it. Only came up when I checked-in.
A delightful spot to chill out yet near to a town with interesting shops. An easy drive to the lakes. The restaurant food was excellent
Location is great for access to the Southern Lakes and road network and very peaceful at the same time. Food at the hotel was really good value for money. Staff very friendly.
Lots of paperwork/leaflets arrived with booking receipt covering lists of do`s/don`ts/terms and conditions etc but they don`t mention that you have to cough up £50 to pay for electricity ( in the form of £10 tokens ) for 3 days!. We used only 2 and to be fair got £30 back.
It was in a nice surroundings and quite
It was in a nice surroundings however we were informed that the swimming and leisure facilities were onsite and/or close however these were 2 miles away and closed on 29th September. We had 2 children with us and had to go to a local caravan site and hire day passes to use swimming facilities etc for pleasure use. Also, the sauna did not work (which we only found out the last night) and nothing done by staff for compensation etc. on the day of leaving after mentioning it. There was also no docking station which was mentioned in the itinerary and leaflet.
Lovely, well-kept and clean lodge.
VERY GOOD CONDITIONS COTTAGES CLEAN FULL KITCHEN EQUIPMENT EXCELLENT LOCATION
Quiet location with easy access to the Lake District. Good food and very good accommodation.
Nothing to dislike.
We found the chalet very comfortable, the option to have dinner in the dining room or cook for ourselves was great.
The seclusion and peacefulness, good food.
Staff tried but did not come across as being sincere, as an example one waitress told us to enjoy our meal as she walked away with her back to us. No cake of soap available when requested, only soap in china dispenser which was awkward to use in a shower.
Beautiful location Stunning cabin with sauna Fantastic honest and friendly staff Car parking outside accommodation Good food in hotel The most quiet nights sleep ever Lovely clean lodge Fantastic value for money Would recommend the Hotel and lodge without hesitation too all my friends and family
The only thing that would change the quality of sleep to excellent from fair is more comfortable mattresses. Even our two children complained about a bumpy nights sleep, however we all have memory foam mattresses at home. Apart from that we all loved the lodge and can't wait to return.
The lodge is clean and spacious. Staff is helpful and friendly.
Nice location, quiet and peaceful at night, and easy access to the Lake District. The lodges are comfortable.
The charge for electricity at the end of our 3 night stay was £17. This seemed excessive as the weather was warm and we did not use any of the heaters or the sauna and only cooked one meal. I should have queried it when checking out but was with friends.
The room was very comfortable & clean. Breakfast selection was varied, tasty & very good service ( thankyou ladies). The staff were extremely helpful; especially Dan.
We have no complaints.
The staff where very helpful, the room was of decent size, the food was lovely , and the hotel was clean,
The water pressure was poor which isn't there fault so the shower was poor, hubby tried to have a bath one night and the water was Luke warm, there wasn't much to do in the hotel on a night apart from sit in the bar, the bed was brill size but uncomfortable we didn't sleep well, but in sure other people where fine jus another personal preference.
Good quality food well cooked
nice small hotel in quiet location, warm welcome. Friendly staff, nice restaurant and lovely food
would liked to open bedroom window wider for fresh air. would have liked two armchairs in room
Very tranquil bit out of the way need a car to get around our lodge was next to the hotel so alittle noisy would have preferred one in the middle but still a lovely place to stay hotel good was lovely
Being next to the hotel alittle noisy
Had a wonderful stay at the woodlands hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and everything was provided to a high standard. The food was EXCELLENT and I would recommend eating and staying here to anybody.
nothing bad to say about the hotel- every bit was fantastic!
Everything was perfect, the staff were wonderful. And our pooch star loved every miniute of our stay
We attempted to cancel the booking with 30+ hours notice and despite many calls to the Hotel and Booking.com never received a definite answer, finally advised on arrival that if we had not have turned up we would have been charged the full £216 for two nights
all the staff where friendly, lovely and clean rooms, nice food,
can not think of anything to moan about
The location is beautiful. Bedrooms clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly.
More variety for breakfast would be good for a longer stay
