Woodlands Hotel and Restaurant  

The location of the hotel and the room was clean and tidy . The staff are very friendly.

Excellent location.

Extremely cold room. I arrived in the morning and the room was like a refrigerator. I ask to do something with the heating and told me that heating is automatic and starts after 3 pm. During the night the heating stopped and I woke up frozen. I return back home cold, suffering from flu and having fever 39oC for 4 days. The bathroom needs renovation immediately. Another thing which disappointed me was their indifference. I sent them 2 emails before my arrival and I was asking directions to find the hotel, but without any response.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Very accommodating. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Breakfast was very nice and service excellent. We would not hesitate to go back to this hotel and,would highly recommend it.

The staff was very friendly! The lady at the reception desk was very helpful as well as the lady in the restaurant. Nice breakfast. Very clean and cosy rooms (we lived on the 1st floor). Good private parking. Nice location, there're some very nice restaurants and pubs in just 7-10 minutes walk, Tesco supermarket just across the road.

The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. I liked the large car park at the back which is locked at night by a garage style door. It is very convenient. The bus stop to the city centre is nearby and the buses are frequent. I was staying to visit my husband in hospital and there is a bus straight to the QE about 10 mins walk away. There is a small Tesco opposite and a Post Office about 400m away.

It's on a junction but it's no problem if you plan ahead. Make sure you turn into Meadow Road just before it then right into Sandon Road and it will be easier to get into.

Traffic on the main road was extremely busy which made travelling to the hotel difficult in rush hour

Staff were lovely and friendly, room was a fair size. We were upgraded to family room as an error was made. Although we were still charged at the lesser rate

Comfortable,clean bedroom in a building that is a world away from the impersonal modern square box. Secure car parking. Good bus service to Birmingham city centre a couple of miles away. Breakfast available to suit your time of eating.

Our room was excellent, clean and very comfortable; breakfast delicious; very friendly and helpful staff. We'll definatelly go back again.

Spotlessly clean very comfortable. Everything we needed in room. Tea coffee basic toiletries hair drier tv fridge. Quiet. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Easy transport to city centre. Fantastic value

i felt the staff were rude and unfriendly...it was as if they wanted us out as soon as possible its also a long walk down the main road into town but on the bus and taxi route

nice and quiet, friendly people, lovely breakfast.

even though we turned radiator off in our room, it was still very warm, as we don't like too much heat, but not something that would put us off visiting again.

Overall, an unpleasant experience the restaurant is breakfast only, my room had an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke from years of smoke in the room fabric and the shower was a measly trickle of luke warm water. However I did only stay in one room so the others may have been different.

The arrangement made by hotel staff for us to change to rooms with windows facing backside of the hotel; warm welcome by hotel staff; hot full English breakfast.

Think we were the only guests, no atmosphere. Bar was closed as was the restaurant. The noise from the busy road until the early hours of the morning.
