This highly recommended, family-run guest house is set in its own grounds and is ideal for touring the area and enjoying the coastal walks that take in some of Devon's best scenery.

Enjoying panoramic views over the harbor and Torbay, the Quayside Hotel consists of 6 beautifully converted fishermen's cottages and retains a coziness and charm rarely found today.
Score from 202 reviews Very good
This Victorian house, built in 1863 is nestled in the heart of the ancient fishing town of Brixham. Beacon House offers picturesque views over the sea and nearby harbour.

Score from 90 reviews Wonderful
The accomadation was very clean breakfast was very good very friendly
It was on a very steep hill parking facilities at the back wasn't good at all had to drive down a very steep dirt track
Staff were friendly and helpful in every way. Loved the location and views from breakfast room, we would definitely stay again!
Mattress was a little too firm for our liking.
very friendly owner could not do enough for you
the room we stayed in was very small and cramped therefore felt it was over priced for this room
they were very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable food and facility very good
unfortunately there is a lot of steps but they helped with luggage
Breakfast was very good and lots of choice. Owners were very helpful.
The b & b was excellent and the owners very welcoming. The b & b was well situated for the harbour. There were several very nice restaurants at the harbour. Plenty of gift shops and art galleries. We had a great weekend.
The guesthouse and rooms are very clean and well-presented; hosts were very attentive; good breakfast; good position with lovely view from the bedroom
Our room and the hotel in General was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Although our room was described as a small double there was ample storage and wardrobe space, although my tall husband had to manoeuvre with care around the bottom of the bed ! The shower and WC were en suite but the hand basin was in the room. There was ample tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the mini fridge and wine glasses on the tray were a nice touch. There was a nice selection of tea bags, fruit teas and biscuits supplied. The breakfasts were delicious and there was a good choice of cereals and fresh fruits.
Having to order what you wanted for breakfast the night before - bit of a throw back to B & B's in the 1970's. It isnt difficult or time consuming to cook breakfast foods and I never know what I want until I get up. The access to the car park at the rear is very awkward and tight and the rough surface on the (steep) slope to the car park is a challenge! If the car park is full though the owner may obtain a permit for on road parking which may be preferable.
Great stay with excellent breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. House was spotless and homely.
No complaints. Brixham is very hilly so all guest houses are built on steep roads.
Breakfast was excellent
Towels not big and thick enough and needed to be changed every day. Entrance to car park terrible but there was nowhere else to park! Didn't like having to choose breakfast the night before. The small double room is really too small for a couple and the wash hand basin being in the actual bed room was not very convenient.
the room, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the owners, the location, the view from our room and luckily for us the weather was brilliant too, highly recommended.
Location is main one but bit small bedroom not suitable for very large couples !
Good variation for breakfast. Fab views of harbour from room. Super service. Beautiful house.
Bathroom systems noisy, could hear next doors.
The breakfast was fantastic and an excellent choice.
The road to drive down to park the car at the back of the B&B.
close to town
shocking road leading to parking, shocking quality of breakfast, rubbish electric shower, tiny room etc
Very pretty house with perfect views over the harbour. Beds were very cimfortable. Great choice of breakfasts. Paul and Rita were friendly and accomodating.
The parking at the rear was so steep. It was a bit of a white knuckle ride to reach the car park. Also tricky to get back up the slope.
Wonderful place to stay, owners were great hosts
al lovely house in a great location
Breakfast options are great Excellent room Good decor View from breakfast room Short downhill walk to town
There is a cat - my allergies caused me issues Steep walk back from town! Access route to parking is not for people who don't usually drive on little country lanes - ha ha!
Absolutely everything, tranquil chalet with everything we needed, Breakfast was Incredible and the choice was varied and the fact that you ordered it the night before was a good idea that we liked, The weather was fantastic that also added to the wonderful time we had
Access to the car park was a bit hairy but a challenge that Des was able to rise to. for some reason we were unable to a get wi fi from the chalet but not a major problem because we could in the guest house lounge which was ok
all the steps.
Friendly proprietor. Excellent breakfast. Generous portions. Lovely garden. Parking. Close to all amenities in town.
En suite a bit small.
Excellent breakfast...very relaxing lounge/T.V. Room...attractive gardens...great view of the harbour and bay.
Like te way you order breakfast the day before :) lovely fry up as well
There is nothing to not like here
The garden chalet provided excellent value for money. As we had our Yorkie,Molly, with us, it had a lovely terrace she could roam about in.
There's nothing not to like, except maybe a very grumpy and bad tempered cat that we encountered on our arrival! Apparently it's a ferel cat that has adopted the owners as it's own. We were warned not to approach it but that didn't stop it hissing and spitting at us at every opportunity! Needless to say we gave it a wide berth!
