This hotel is in a ideal location for access into leads and surrounding cities. The Hotel is always clean, comfortable, and immaculately decorated. The grounds are beautiful, and we always feel at home at the hotel. My wife has special dietary needs, and nothing was too much trouble to ensure that she enjoyed her meals. the breakfast staff were very kind, efficient, and professional. we will definitely be revisiting this Hotel again when we are back in Leeds and hope to find the same satisfaction!
Lovely grounds and rooms. Reasonable prices at bar - standard really, eg £6 a glass of wine, 18-22 per bottle. Breakfast really nice, taken in room. Decor very nice.
Just a few smaller details that could be improved, but that's just to take it from good to excellent. The hotel is already really nice. For example, the windows and doors don't easily open, door key a struggle. Shower very poor pressure, more of a trickle. Some confusion and mixed messages from reception about our room. Nothing major but a bit frustrating. No sauces served with breakfast. I could go on a little but it's not picky really! Overall really lovely place.
staff friendly, location good, quiet, food very good, upgraded as they did not receive my Booking reservation - did not see much difference between executive & luxury rooms though.
For a luxury room, I would have expected additional TV channels than the basics, I had to call reception twice when there was no hot water, the plug in the bath needed replacing (did not hold the water) and it was a little uncomfortable using the bathroom as the ground floor room looked onto the carpark and the blinds were not closing properly - only hope I didn't scare residents away!!
The hotel was lovely, the room we got was above the reception which was a bit noisy all night banging. This wasn't a major problem, really nice food, one of the comfiest beds I've slept in and the staff were really friendly.
The wifi is variable
Very nice place, rooms and bathrooms
The staff, the room, the food, the facilities, oh everything - it was amazing! Am staying again this week and I'm sure this will be my default Leeds hotel from now on!
Only thing is the WIFI is pretty bad. Difficult when you have work to catch up on, but good if it means you get an early night instead of working until the wee hours!
I only stayed for a quick night, but what mattered to me - bedroom, wifi, bed and breakfast were spot on.
If i was being picky, maybe the lack of a desk at which to work was all mention.
After our first visit to Woodlands Hotel this time last year, we were pleased to take a second short break here. The welcoming, gracious and accommodating staff made our brief stay particularly relaxing and memorable.
Clean Rooms, good food and bar area
Room was downgraded, compensated, but had to live with a leaking roof no climate control and no films for a proposed stay in night.
Gorgeous hotel, lovely room. We had the winter warmer package which was excellent value for money and the meal was lovely.
The only negative was our bathroom was quite small and quite cold.
Very comfortable bed, good breakfast
Wifi did not work in the room, even though it was re-set
Big deluxe room with large comfy bed. Friendly staff and nice food in the restaurant
Had to be down graded from the top room to the deluxe room due to plumbing issue. The jacuzzi bath didn't work great, had to use the main switch to turn it on and off
Excellent place to stay. Will always stay here when in Leeds in future.
Food was excellent. Grounds very idyllic.
Everything ! Breakfast was delicious room was clean very friendly staff,
I had a shower and afterwards there was no hot water left for my partner.
A lovely location with fantastic staff made our stay in Yorkshire one to remember, we will be using the Woodlands Hotel as our base while visiting friends in the future. A special thank you to Nasser who looked after us very very well. Thank you to you all. The Spencers
Two very slight niggles included the WiFi which seemed to work on and off, I think we had pretty poor reception and the other was the kettle with the very short lead....
The low beams.
The food was out of this world. Enjoyed the dining. And enjoyed the cocktails.
Quiet but convenient location - it really is surrounded by woodland. Friendly, efficient, mainly local staff. Large, quiet room, very comfortable bed. Breakfast very good, freshly cooked, interesting choices. Hotel recently refurbished to a high standard, excellent value.
Bathroom a bit small for size of room, but well appointed.
We stayed for one night but wished we could stay longer. We got a great last minute deal on the spa room and couldn't have been happier! The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious and the service was second to none.
We didn't like the fact that from now on we will compare every other hotel room to this one and they will inevitably come up short....
No problems at all, everything other than the complete lack of wi-fi in the bedroom was excellent. Wi-fi was available in the restaurant though.
No wifi in my room. I did raise it with reception but they couldn't resolve it.
Very nice bathroom. Luxury room was a very good size.
Central heating didn't work. a/c fan/ heater did not work either. The solution was to bring up a portable heater- not the ideal thing to get when you are paying for a luxury/ deluxe room. The room is directly above the function room/ breakfast room so near constant music was on all Saturday and the following morning from 8 am. Not ideal when you fancy an afternoon nap or sleeping in until 9.30.
Quality & comfort of room.
Bar man is very obliging. Food decent.
I was directed to lift by reception which is placed by a kitchen door. As I went to get in, a waitress came out of the kitchen, not looking through the glass and hit me full on with door, only to laugh and carry on. Fortunately I had left my equipment in the car for check in, otherwise she would have gone straight through it, damaging both the kit and herself. It really is the most stupid place to put a lift I have seen. If someone is in a wheelchair, they won't be seen, especially if the staff fly through it, as on this occasion.
