A unique experience. The well preserved classic style of the hotel helps you to relax and feel calm after a busy day. And there is a very good pub close to the hotel (walking distance).

Efficient staff, location perfect for our specific needs, BREAKFAST TO DIE FOR... We were not able to dine but I expect that this would also have beem excellent.

breakfast is wonderful. Good choices and cooking. Friendly and helpful staff. My stay was on the coldest night in March for many decades. The room heating was up to the task. Clean and comfortable room. Free wi-fi. Read that in previous review about the 3 course set dinner menu, and this has been changed to a la cart menu now. Good cooking. Though hotel is close to major roads, it is situated inside a woodland, thus is nice and quiet. Free car parking, and the site is really not accessible to public transport. Nice and wonderful shower.

Nothing. However, I noted there is no air con for summer. A fan is provided in the room.

Very clean hotel food very good

We were not informed at the time of booking that there was a wedding right below our room, hence after booking in at 10.45pm and wanting to sleep straight away was impossible. The noise of the disco was extremely loud. We felt the room was actually very small, with only room to just walk around the bed. There was no bedside light on my side of the bed, I had to take the one from the table in the other room. No Earl Grey tea on the tea tray. We would have liked a more powerful shower. A disappointing choice.

Great quiet location. Large bedroom crammed with everything you need. Excellent shower and jacuzzi bath. Good dinner menu and top breakfast. Could not really fault anything.

Nice big room which was great fro the rate I paid, comfy bed, good location to drive into Leeds for the next day Staff were welcoming, friendly and polite Food was exceptional, absolutely delicious!!

No shower; my other half was jealous because of the double bath (which is lovely) but I was travelling alone on business... Had trouble with the TV and changing channels A lot of noise from other rooms next door adn above in the morning, and from delivery (?) vehicles outside the window I was travelling alone on business and didnt fancy sitting in the restaurant on my own but was aghast at being charged £5 on top for room service!!

Staff were so friendly and always asking if they could help.room was so comfortable and relaxing. The food was the nicest meal I've had. Perfect food.

The only thing negative but spoilt the stay for me was the noise. We stayed on ground floor and the noise was so bad it keeper me up till late and was woken at five by the banging off doors. The boiler from above us and every time above us put the tap on. The noise was really loud. I was guttered as this was our first night away from home in ten yrs as we have disabled children. But everything else was perfect. I am sorry I had to leave a negative.catherine

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are friendly and attentive with the exception of one male who never smiles and is very unwelcoming (didn't catch his name)

Had to move room due to shower not working, however I did get moved to a gorgeous room and my bill was reduced.

Room no view just looing at a wall, resturant only doing a set meant for £35 6 course felt we should have been informed about this as no resurants anywhere near and we wanted somehting off the al a carte menu but couldnt

It was a first class experience and I will be staying again when I'm up North.

The grounds which the hotel is set in are beautiful.

The room that I stayed in didn't have a full length mirror and on the Sunday morning no news papers to read at breakfast as I was a solo traveler.
