The staff were friendly, breakfast was nice and the place was clean. Was good that we could use the leisure facilities at The Old England, but we didn't know that until we arrived. Would have been good to know before, so we could have brought our gear.
The shower room in rooms 9 and 10 were very small for the price we paid. We were also in the eaves, which made the mirror too low on the wall to use in room 10.
Great room Great staff who were willing to spend time with you to discuss your plans for the day/ night Great breakfast Great team Great stay - will be returning! Thank you
The house looks nice and staff are quite nice, the room is cozy but a little bit small, not far away from town centre, overall is good
fabulous breakfast. Terrific staff, very friendly and amusing. Great beds. It even had a rather good grand piano. Would definitely come back if had the time and money.
The atmosphere, fantastic breakfast, the location, the beds.
The room offered on first night had a very small bathroom(impossible to bend in the shower), nothing you would expect from a 5 star facility. The next day they did though offer me another room which had a bigger bathroom but it came at 15 pounds additional per day.
The staff all went out of way to be helpful nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was one of the best we have had. Would not hesitate staying again
Staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was great.
Not enough tables at breakfast room if the hotel is full.
The rooms were comfortable and very 'high spec.' We had a triple with a rollaway for our 4-year-old, with which she was very happy. Great bathroom!
Excellent service and very welcoming staff.
The breakfast was first rate and the staff were friendly and attentive. overall a lovely hotel. Only 5 mins walk to the town and easy to get to most places for visits. Would stay again.
When it rained the TV and WiFi reception degraded to the point of unusable although I suspect this has more to do with rural service than the hotel.
The kindness and friendliness of the staff and management make this place worth a stay.
The rooms are a bit on the small side.
Very helpful staff. Comfortable room. Very comfy bed. Large bathroom which was great. Good breakfast.
Shower was a bit small. Used to larger ones.
Please explain to customers the hotel with family management to estimate the capacity of the hotel with the level of 5 *.
No phones in the rooms, small bath....
Breakfast was good. Location was fairly central not too far from restaurants shops and piers.
Room was small. Walls were paper thin - normal conversations in other rooms were audible and the 'babbling brook' provided constant white noise throughout our stay. Bathroom was tiny - bend to brush your teeth and your rear opens the door... Definately not 5 star ..
Very friendly and helpful girl on the front desk who even served us a lovely breakfast. Comfortable stay even though it was very warm and we appreciated the fan as the room we stayed in retained the heat.
For such a large bathroom it had a very small shower enclosure.
nice friendly efficient staff, super location, clean rooms, very good breakfast, nice relaxing break.
We chose to stay at the Woodlands B&B for 3 nights. We thought the location was perfect situated on the main road leading down to lake windermere. A lovely family run buisness. Very clean and cosy. With parking facilities. Enjoyed our breakfast each morning, service was excellent. Everyone polite and friendly. Would recommend to family and friends.
N/A had lovely time.
breakfast did not start until 8.30 which we found rather a late start. Bathroom very small no room for even a toilet bag.
Staff were excellent and attentive to our needs.
Location Staff well mannered and helpful.
Room was exceptional and very clean The shower was superb The bed was probably the comfiest I have ever slept in The breakfast was very good and a good selection the hotel had a vey relaxed atmosphere
I could not connect to the wifi and the passcode was not in the information booklet so I did speak to a member of staff who gave it to me and it didnt work so I asked 3 times but to no avail, the same member of staff recomended a restarant in windermere, which when we walked there only to find it was closed on mondays
Room and bathroom decoration was modern and very clean. Breakfast was good and reasonable times. Sorted out a problem with the heating promptly
Ground floor room was quite noisy at times from room above Bathroom was smaller than expected but adequate
