Room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Hotel owner could not have been more welcoming and helpful, advising on places and activities to suit our interests and budget. Have already recommended to friends. Bar slightly expensive, though it could have been a lot more over-priced in fairness. |

The king-sized bed was truly king-size, as not many that claim that, are actually. It was an extremely comfortable bed, too. The breakfast room was very nice with lots of big windows. The food was good. We arrived late and left the next morning immediately after breakfast, so I can't really provide any more feedback. I expected a more quaint ambiance in the bedrooms. The two rooms that our family used were more like hotel rooms. |

I was very impressed with the hotel, the general overall cleanliness. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfasts on a morning were great! The plumbing in the en-suite could of been better and the parklands country park doesnt match up to the standards of the hotel. |

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and owners.Only met Alan on day of departure but he could not have been more helpful.Even drew us a map of the local sights so we did not miss anything. Breakfast lovely and freshly cooked to order.Room was spotless.Even let us check in early as room was ready. About 5 min walk to Windermere and 10 - 15 min walk to Bowness.Would def stay again. Only slight (and I stress slight) criticism would be the room was a little on the small size with no where to sit but on the bed, but considering this was a four poster room can not really complain as was of an excellent standard and decorated lovely. |

The room was small with a huge four poster bed, but the bed was so comfy !! There was no bath, after a right royal drenching on a wet day, a shower just doesn't cut it !! |

The room was decorated beautifully, the breakfast selection was excellent and the staff were very friendly there were stains on the walls that could have been cleaned before our arrival, the pillows were flat, we were glad to see we had an iron/ ironing board in the room to use however when my partner went to use it, it didn't work and leaked all over his shirt. |

Over rated calls itself 5 star and tries to be hotel but it is a bed and breakfast. Misleading |
