Liked the location of the hotel easy walking distance to bowness and windermere. Breakfast was very nice and friendly staff Did not think the room livved up to 5 star standard. Very small, paintwork coming off the wall and ceiling in bathroom and don't expect to have plastic cups in a 5 star hotel. Didn't like two single beds pushed together and plastic sheets on the bed. I have stayed in much better hotels for less money |

"superior triple room" was a double bed with a pull out small single camp bed. It had a thick mattress but was small and narrow and crammed into the corner of the room. |

The staff and owner were pleasant and knew the area well. Having bought a superior romm we were taken to a pokey, subteranean room facing some building works. Once I raised my objections to this we were moved. I feel that the rooms were expensive whilst being quite small. Even the second room had a bathroom just the width of the shower unit. |

Enjoyed my stay at Woodlands hotel. Everything was clean and nice. LOVED the American breakfast!!! The rooms were very clean. The staff most helpful. The location was fantastic! It is more like a guest house. We arrived quite late, and the owner of the hotel waited for us outside so we would not wake anyone else up. My sister was in a different part of the building, and I was not able to communicate with her, as the main door to the building was locked. |

the location was great the rooms are small and not up to the 5 star rating we payed for. I would say it is more like a three star. and there are alot of guest house and b+bs in the area for much better value i payed 120 pounds a night for the two of us you could easly save yourself 50 ponds a night if you looked else where. |

Room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Hotel owner could not have been more welcoming and helpful, advising on places and activities to suit our interests and budget. Have already recommended to friends. Bar slightly expensive, though it could have been a lot more over-priced in fairness. |
