It is a fabulous building with a rich history. The staff were also very friendly and accomodating which makes a big difference. The stable bedrooms, whilst still typical of a 4* hotel, are now starting to look a little weary. |

All staff were happy and friendly. Very professional reception staff who made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much for them..needed extra towel in room - provided immediately. Only ate breakfasts which were fantastic value and all fresh produce. Excellent breakfasts all fresh produce. Snooker room was really good and stacked with loads of board games. Hotel spotlessly clean. We were in stable block, decorations in room a little tired, and rooms need better lighting. Bathroom needed updating but was clean. These are very minor points. |

Upgraded from mews to main hall which was an experience of another time ( be warned there is no lift) Large wood panelled bedroom and bathroom, no shower . The staff were very friendly and only too happy to help. Food was well prepared though we only experienced breakfast. A comfortable "ye old worldly " country manor Hall. excellent for that special few days. Nothing major, a beautiful hotel, excellent staff, but no lift and no shower and a lack of practicalities in the bathroom like shelves for bits and pieces. |

I found each member of staff I came into contact with helpful and friendly shame so much of the grounds have been sold off, but its still nice. |

I stay at many hotels and they're uniformally awful - this one is the best I've stayed in for years. The staff, room, ambience and dinner were all genuinely exceptional. This is a truly great hotel! |

I didn't like the fact they tried to overcharge for dinner.. The TV reception was terrible/unwatchable, when ask receptionist if they could sort this out was told there was nothing they could do. Empty mini bar. No room service, although the in room brochure said there was. Iron in room was so dirty it marked a shirt.. |

The hotel was lovely with its oak panelling and lovely decor. It was set in beautiful surroundings and was a credit to the staff who were themselves all very pleasant and helpfull. |

Really well looked after. I phoned reception for fresh milk for our coffee. It was there in minutes. The food was first class. Extensive choice at breakfast. The dinner was really really good and sitting in a lounge with a log fire having our coffee after dinner was really enjoyable. The Hotel was excellent although we stayed in what is probably best discribed as the anex Distance from car park to hotel. Especially in the rain. But this did not ruin our stay in any way. |

Very relaxed setting and interesting character to the building. Restaurant was good. I know it was a hot weekend but would have been nice if room could have been 'aired' (window opened) prior to us arriving plus the heating was on in the bathroom - it was too hot. |

A tastefully extended Victorian manor house set in 176 acres of parkland with panoramic views of the golf course. |
Nestled amid 19 acres of gardens and woodland, this 19th century country house provides the ideal base from which to explore the rolling hills and hidden valleys of the Cotswolds. |
