We stayed for two nights and we had a lovely peaceful stay. The room was like a lodge completely separate from everything very quite, beautifully decorated and like a home from home. Julie and Chris are amazing hosts and the breakfast was lovely. We will definitely be returning to the Woodpeckers next time we are in the I.O.W.

This is a very high quality B&B with secure parking. The accommodation (separate to the main house) was immaculate, comfortable and spacious. The rooms and bathroom were modern and the attention to detail made this B&B special. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection which you pre-order the evening before. It was only a 5 min walk into the Old Village in Shanklin with a wide choice of restaurants. All in all, it was a lovely peaceful place to stay and we would not hesitate to recommend it. We would most definitely stay there again. Thank you Julie and Chris.

Five star , better than any hotel , everything was immaculate, the hosts were so helpful friendly! Breakfast was excellent,

Nothing , you would be hard pushed to find anything that was not up to standard even if you tried

Clean, modern room. Our hosts were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Chris even lent me some tools to fix a little problem with the car. Highly recommended place to stay.

    Nothing,no problems what so ever.

Excellent B&B. Very warm welcome from Julie & Chris. Accommodation was of a high standard, immaculately presented and very comfortable. Gardens and surroundings beautiful and made for a very relaxing break. Wonderful breakfast which really set you up for the day. Julie and Chris even laid on the fantastic weather although not sure they can do that every time! Would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay at Woodpeckers and a return visit will be very likely.

    Going home

We loved the location and the accommodation was contemporary and to a very high standard. The owners made us feel very welcome and we can't wait for another excuse to get back, we wouldn't stay anywhere else now that we have stayed there. I would highly recommend this B & B and the breakfast is outstanding.

The welcome we were given by Julie, Chris, Megan and dog Chubby. Our accommodation was away from the main house, in a separate garden annex. It had its own lawn and outdoor table and chairs. The rooms were extremely comfortable and stylish. Breakfast was varied, well cooked and presented. During our stay, they took an interest in us, loaned us books and brochures and gave us tourist information. Nothing was too much trouble. Julie even gave us home baked cakes to eat on the ferry during our home crossing. Lovely family. First class stay.

    Absolutely nothing.
