Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Comfortable room with large bathroom- bath and shower. Nice location handy for Srirling. Breakfast cooked to order, lovely. Visiting family in Stirling needed dog friendly accommodation.
Decoration quite dated and evening meal menu limited. Bedroom window did not open. Quite expensive for single room and Booking.com had put it through as a twin so had to get refund.
Staff, room, food, atmosphere
Absolutely HUGE cooked breakfast included. Very friendly staff Nice comfortable bed Standard of cleanliness very high
Not a single thing springs to mind.
Great food, lovely staff very helpful indeed.
Wifi didnt work in the rooms a repeater somewhere would be useful I can recommend someone to do that for you in exchange for a nights stay.
The warmth of the welcome and friendliness. Hearty sco breakfast. Leafy location. Value for money.
Really friendly atmosphere. A credit to the owner.
In the perfect location if you are on the way to the Highland. Large comfortable rooms and good food. An excellent breakfast.
WiFi didn't work in the bedroom.
Staff members were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was reasonably roomy and very clean as was the bathroom. The hotel itself had a lovely welcoming feel to it.
staff friendly and attentive. location easy to find and ease of parking. room was comfortable and met my needs.
To be fair, the evening meal was not great, with my Gammon steak looking a bit sorry for itself and boiled not grilled - tough and less than appetising. It was a very warm evening and I opened the bedroom window only to be overwhelmed by smoke from people/staff smoking underneath - not good as I am a non-smoker.
ambience and very friendly staff, the food and the ale!
Dated furniture Very low water pressure in the shower
the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you.it felt like you were at home it was so relaxing and friendly.food was lovely as well.Would definitely go back.

We liked everything about this hotel, from the staff to the food, everything was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was lovely we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Another most enjoyable stay at this grand wee hotel. As always, room very comfortable and food excellent. Refurbishment going well.Staff are always so pleasant, especially breakfast waitresses Hope to be back again soon..
The breakfast, comfort of the rooms and beds, the helpfullness of staff
Nothing not to like!
very convenient and simple good! Friendly personnel.
- nice owners - price was fair for high season
- food very greasy - hotel is old and rather shabby, which however gives it a certain charme
Friendly staff, comfortable stay, good breakfast
The location. The staff. Food was really nice. Breakfast was good value. Value for money.
The staff were absolutely lovely and very attentive. We broke down on the way there and had to be delivered via tow truck, but they worked out a way to get us in. The beds were really comfortable and the traditional Scottish breakfast was wonderful. Because we were so late, I didn't get to sleep in, but they let us stay whilst waiting for RAC.
The hotel is a bit outdated, but full of traditional charms. The layout creates a strange staircase set-up. The bathroom floor feels a bit soft.
