It was central in oban and very close to the ferry terminal for my morning crossing to mull. The staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The open window gave onto the roofs of several restaurants/kitchens and the smell of frying was a bit much but easily sorted by closing the window. The shower was extremely hot and took a while to tame. The manager did not know of this and said she would have it sorted.

Friendly staff, good location, good breakfast. Altough clean the room was in pretty poor condition, so was the bed. Very noisy until late as the bar with live music was right underneath.

In the town, close to amenities, not up the very steep hill. Good wholesome breakfast.

“Excellent central location, close to ferry terminal, train station and shops, with plenty of good eating places - particularly seafood. Hotel itself was comfortable with freindly staff. Although the building was old it was refurbished to a high standard to retain its character.” Allan, Newton Mearns |
