Good simple food in the pm and am meal. Good parking Good clean rooms Very quiet and peaceful location with Wells only 10 minutes down the road.
The rain ! But that was down to someone else!
Centrally located for, firstly, Wookey Hole Caves, local preserved railways, coastal towns, country villages and the Cheddar Gorge.
Rooms were average hotel rooms good location to sight see
Staff weren't that friendly and hogged bar area for drinking in evening, breakfast was very poor for the money, half an English not a full english
Spacious., quiet, low key, relaxed, comfortable.
I liked everything but I would have liked a bigger portion of mashed potato. I was still hungry as I'm gluten free and that is limiting.
Big comfotable rooms, close to Wells, lots of parking, great value.
The excellent special deal that we got. Clean rooms, excellent bedding, lovely buffet continental breakfast , or you could have a fully cooked breakfast.
Slow and not really attentive service at dinner.
Breakfast too costly
The walk to the breakfast room
the tidy room, quiet place, beautiful scene and appropriate price
the wifi seems to be a little weak for room 29. please try to improve that.
Spent 2 days here very relaxi g and local to wells .
Wasn.t anything there not to like
Next to the venue we were visiting.
Breakfast was extra, should have been included in the price
everything was great, beautiful place to visit
need ala carte breakfast, would like to have had just toast and juice for breakfast.
Room was spacious and comfortable
Walking across the car park for breakfast, especially on the rain.
The price The location Parking Wi Fi
Reception Restaurant particular choice of food and the fact that of the three sweets on the menu there was only one portion of one available. Beds particularly uncomfortable. Attitude of staff. Smiles cost nothing. Regrettably we picked the wrong hotel for this particular weekend. We think it may be o.k. For families.
The room was xceptionally clean and quiet. The elevator for 2nd floor guests was greatly appreciated. This is a family oriented hotel with attractions on site.
Breakkfast was not included and the price was rather high if you chose to eat there.
The room was spacious, it was convenient to the caves and attractions, breakfast was lovely
Dinner in the bistro was adequate, I could tell the chicken was reheated!
Resturant very limited had to eat out , morning and night, if you call making a bed throwing the duvet back over the bed, then good luck.
We had two family rooms and they were both large and very clean. The restaurant was great with a big personality chef!
Poor phone and wifi connections.
Modern, clean and cheap but with a little more character than your Premier inns etc. Highly recommended.
Bar ran out of cider... unforgivable in Somerset!
Location, staff, room, family friendly and food was great
Shower rail loose and landed on my head
Location for Wookey and nearby caves very good. Shower was very good. Plenty of tea and coffee available in room.
The mattress on the sofa bed was far too thin and dipped in the middle resulting in a restless nights sleep for our child. Continental breakfast would have been more appealing if there was fresh fruit available.
assistance from the staff was top notch the arrival was smooth , parking easy and room lovely , I had managed to book one night ahead of the night i actually wanted - and they hotel staff were excellent smoothly sorting this out with smiles . OUr room had some beautiful stone steps outside and lovely grass lawns so a really classic feel to a smooth nights sleep. Thank you
a bit of a windy route on the sat nav to reach the hotel - the directions should state not to follow sat nave but to head for Wells first then put in Wooky hole ( i think this is the easire route - but check with hotel )
Family rooms very basic. Clean.
We liked all of our stay our 5 year old enjoyed it its for all ages.
Very very poor road signs of how to get to wooky we spent 30 mins looking and asking people where it was. Definitely needs better signage.
Great accomodation in lovely location. Friendly staff who were always available to answer any queries. Very relaxed atmosphere. Good quality restaurant.
