Score from 131 reviews Fabulous
Location great Excellent restaurant next door! Excellent staff.
Internet service lacking.
we liked the hotel, where it is in the centre of town the bedroom was very clean ,breakfast was very good, staff very helpfull we will be using the hotel again.
nothing that we did not like,we did not find any faults at all.
Easy to get to from the train station.
Given a twin room after booking double for single occupancy. Noisy room next to road and had to open windows as it was stuffy. Glass in the bathroom had liquid in and what looked like toothpaste on it from the previous occupant. From 2am until 4am the occupants of the nxt room came and went umpteen times and allowed the door to slam and shake the building. Now I know why I avoid hotels at this price range.
The view from the room was really nice, the size of the room was excellent and the bed was really comfortable. Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Breakfast choice a bit limited, though adequate, and unfortunately the shower didn't drain and therefore only one of us could use as running the shower for a second person would have caused overflow in bathroom: just needs drain clearing. :(
for a budget hotel ......brilliant
The location was a short walk from center. There was plenty of nice pubs, and places to eat.The new center complecs was perfect for places to eat.with the added bonus of having a JD Weatherspoons which is always a plus, because of its prices of food and drink.
Stayed here previously and enjoyed ourselves.changed owners and service was not as good, only one bath towel first night no food in restaurant chef was off we're looking forward to treating our family to a meal as we have always eaten there before
Shower nozzle sprayed all black bits, only one bath towel only one tea cup had to ask for another and only three milks per day, rather disappointing as we have always given good reports on previous visits an recommended to family and friends.suite cost extra we did not think we got value for money
Friendly staff a good restaurant .
The fact that I could hear the people in the next room and the room above snoring all night !!!
easy to operate from - close to stn, shops, train - yet quiet
Close to the Minster, near the town centre and very reasonably priced. Welcoming staff. Quiet location and free car parking next door. We were able to leave our car till after lunch on departure day.
Breakfast wasn't brilliant but was a lot better than you might expect for the price.
Very good location, clean, comfortable, pleasant staff. Good Breakfast.
Sunday breakfast opened too late
People arriving but no-one there to greet them. Needs up-dating as dark & dinghy.
Value for money
not a lot
thIs is not a hotel It is basically somewhere to lay your head
Comfortable room - spotlessly clean - pleasant staff - central location - easy free parking -- GREAT VALUE
Very poor wifi connectivity virtually useless
The staff were wiling and able to help with any queries and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.
The breakfast on offer didn't vary from day to day - it became boring after 3 days. Also, there was no muesli on offer. I believe this is quite a populat breakfast and the Wool Merchant Hotel would do well to make it available.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Its a lovely hotel and we would come and stay again
It could do with a bit more comfort bed but thats it it was a nice room
. excellent location ..just a few minutes walk to the town centre, 15min walk from Shibden Park . good size room . nice touch to provide complimentary biscuits each day. . nice size bathroom . complimentary soap and shower gel . plenty of hangars . excellent breakfast . free parking . free wifi, good signal.
1. Water pressure for shower far too low..just dribbled out when standing. 2. Only 1 armchair though it was a double room. 3. Selfishness of other guests when going to their room/apartment in the early hours of the morning .. far too noisy .. i know ..not something that the hotel can control. 4. A few more parking places would be useful.
Good value good food close to rail/bus station./town/sainsburys ect.nice staff.Spent 8 nights good for the price would go again.
I stayed with my son and daughter-in-law following a wedding. My single room was spacious and clean and adequately furnished. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The cooked breakfast was good and tea and coffee selection was in the rooms.
There was nothing negative really. Just a suggestion: I was on the top floor and direction signs would have been helpful to find the lift, restaurant and exit. It would be nice to have a drinking chocolate in the room selection.
buffet breakfast great
bed not so comfy
WiFi, the room was comfortable but would benefit from a chair.
Breakfast was well cooked, but it was a bit chaotic. Shower was a bit of a trickle but just about adequate if you run around.
