Location, facilities, staff, room was beautiful.
Great swimming pools Children's play room Secret garden
Room was tiny Furniture indoor and out tired Food and drink prices very high
Food:- The soup was tepid, portions were minute, price of wine was outrageous!! NO BAR...wierd! you had to keep asking for the drink you wanted and the waiter would go away and come back to say they hadn't got any
Beautiful house, very friendly helpful staff, great food and dog friendly - excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Friendly staff Spa Location
Staff were very inexperienced. The shower in the room was not working and we called reception. The woman who came up was rude and even suggesting us to use the hand shower and didn't see any problem with that. The young waiters were trying their best to be friendly, but did not have a clue how to organise the breakfast, serve a very expensive dinner and make a cocktail. Shame because the hotel is in a great area and a few miles away from Bath with good road nconnection.
hotel was quite full, and they ran out of alot of items on Saturday night, also breakfast was very slow and was 30 mins before any tea etc due to the numbers that were staying room was not very comfortable
The food at this hotel was fantastic. Very friendly staff towards us and our young children, we felt very at home. The boys cant wait to return!! The Spa and especially the facial was extremly good ;)
Court yard room on the small side but still very comfortable.
Historic house with a lot of character, comfortable public sitting rooms. Good bedroom and with small private sitting room. Beautiful outlook from dining room.
A lot of early morning noise from the back of the hotel, from 7am onwards for hours. Vans, deliveries, bins. No chance of a lie in.
Great hospitality, warm service, lovely food and excellent wine. We realised that it isn't impossible to enjoy a bit of luxury and travel with a toddler! Loved the feel of the hotel and the facilities.
Helpful & friendly staff.Great for children-- lots for them to do and excellent meals for them. Meals for adults good as well. We were a family group of 10 adults and one 4year old child celebrating my wife`s 80th birthday and the staff looked after everyone with great care making this a most enjoyable weekend.
Furniture was old and decrepit rather than antique. Rugs were rather threadbarewhich could have caused an accident especially to my wife who has to walk using crutches.
