Chilham is a beautiful village.
Wifi not available in room.
Proximity to North Downs way Food Quiet Village location
Good value for money compared to other B and B's in the area of Chilham. Friendly and homely atmosphere.
The fact that breakfast is not included. It is at extra cost.
They got the bill wrong
Superb location. Quaint & quirky. Welcoming & helpful staff, especially in the restaurant. Food was excellent.
4 poster bed - sounds good but don't bother. Bath with hand-held shower looks chic but totally impractical - and probably dangerous if you are old and decrepit like me. WiFi plays hide and seek. Ghost didn't show.
Beatifully located in the quiet, but oh so charming village Chilham. Lodging and dining in this historic setting adds to the charm. Breakfast was ample and dinner excellent, with a very tasteful vegetarian option.
Access to the rooms was somewhat difficult, but having a window on each side of the room made more than up for this minor inconvenience.
We loved the peace & quiet. Staff were very nice & helpful. Pub atmosphere was nice.
We thought the food was a bit expensive. Had a roast on Sunday & beef was a bit gristly & a bit sparse for price. Also you couldn't just get a normal sandwich for normal price it was too fancy & bit pricey. My pillows were rock hard as well which if they'd been better I would have slept like a log. Over all we had a lovely weekend & don't want to sound picky just being truthful. Lovely village lovely pub lovely room. Would definitely come again.
Location. Good beers. Nice rooms
Terrible evening meal. My Ham and eggs were the worst I have ever had -greasy and tasteless Rest of party enjoyed their choices of main meals.
Atmosphere and location.
Very noisy floor above us! (room 8). Pushing for dinner reservation and then have dinner in a half empty restaurant.
Good location, nice village and very near to Canterbury.
The room smelt of damp and the beds were very uncomfortable.
The room was not too bad and it was clean and tidy.
Bath very slippery. Food choice was terrible. Owner/Older female staff were rude and not welcoming at all. Bar menu was terrible. Eton mess - was just a bowl of cream with a sprinkling of crushed meringue on the top and tiny pieces of strawberries. Baby potatoes and carrots for child in our company came swimming in a pool of oil. Ploughmans lunch delivered with no ham. Cod in beer batter was not Cod it was Pollock. Smoked Gammon definitely was not smoked. Very poor choices for breakfast - 1st day the yoghurts were 3 days out of date and after that there were no yoghurts available. Bacon was so salty we were looking for water all day. Some of the cereals were used so little they were stuck in the containers. The only fruit choice was prunes, grapefruit segments or a thin slice of watermelon. If you dared ask for some extra toast, you were frowned upon. There was no catering for any special diatery needs eg. Diabetics. Overall our experience here was not good. We were in a party of 14 and we stayed 2 nights. We were not treated as welcome guests. I will never return to this hotel !!
Great location, very good food and a good bar.
Room was not to expectations. Corner bath needs an updated shower and the shower curtain is too small and was unclean. Breakfast should be included at £90 per room.
It's a historical pub attached, (the rooms are historical though) and dinner was really good. We booked a room for two people, and got one that would have hosted 5 all for a great price.
Comfortable rooms, beds, good shower, lovely setting and garden, competent, pleasant staff
WiFi only worked in the main building, not in room. Bare floorboards in room above made our room very noisy when other guests were moving around (which was a lot and at all hours).
Easy to find, small car park but ok I got the last space as some left. Clean and comfortable room, very friendly staff.
Paid £80 for Double room and £60 for single for one night and Breakfast not included. Found Bar very expensive charging Central London prices for beer and wine. Arrived at 9pm and was told kitchen was closed, then saw food being served 20 minutes later, good job we had eaten. This is a pub that thinks it is a high end hotel, it isn't!
Everything! Spacious room, delicious food, friendly staff. The character and charm of the property is the best I have come across, the local people we talked to were all welcoming and cheerful. It is an easy drive to the very convenient Wincheap Park and Ride into Canterbury. Value for money was excellent. The Woolpack Inn goes straight to the top of my places to come back to!
Leaving. They were booked up for the next night, so we couldn't extend our stay!
Great food in the restaurant Comfortable beds
TV only had 2 channels available
Excellent breakfast, must go back and try their evening meals.
Friendly, great room and mum was happy too (always a good sign) :)
Price of the drinks
It's a great historic building in a beautiful village. Staff were helpful and accommodating and the food in the pub/restaurant was of a very high standard, much better than I would expect of "pub fayre".
We had some logistical challenges trying to stay there with three young children, but there was probably little the staff could have done to make things any easier.
Loved the location it was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away. The restaurant at the Woolpack was exeptional the food was fab!
Location in pretty village of Chilham. Parking near room, good breakfast except no fresh fruit, only prunes and grapefruit.Food served almost all day! Interesting menu for dinner, and they even made sandwiches in the evening despite not being on the menu.
Wifi didn't work in our room, only in bar and restaurant area.
Accommodation was damp
The staff were very friendly, and the room itself was very well laid out and quite comfortable. Very nice town and a very convenient place to stay for a large family catching the Dover early in the morning.
There did not seem to be wireless access, despite this being listed. However, we arrived quite late at night, and so didn't have the chance to ask about it, and this might have been something that could have been fixed. So I don't see it as a real problem.
Noise next door from aam to 3am ???? Not ur fault but not nice
