The hotel is within easy reach of the coast; the region’s glorious countryside; and a wealth of interesting places to visit. All of the region’s major industrial parks are also within easy reach. All of the rooms are well equipped, with all the comforts and facilities you need, including tea/coffee making facilities and TVs with Freeview digital channels. With well-equipped accommodations and a convenient location, the Wortley House Hotel is a good base, whether you are exploring the region as a tourist or visiting the area on business. Please note that in December the hotel hosts Christmas party nights every night and most rooms will be noisy until at least 1am. The Wortley House is a very pleasant hotel. Our room was large, comfortable, and clean. The hotel bar is big and welcoming with very friendly staff. The breakfast was a very good, standard English breakfast. The fruit selection wasn't great, but, in March, it's difficult to get good fresh fruit. There was plenty of parking in the hotel lot, and the location was very convenient.

The staff were really very obliging and helpful. We were very well looked after. The apartment accommodation was really large and would be excellent for people who stayed for several days as they could easily self cater. This would be good for young families. It was quiet at night even on a Friday/Saturday. We stayed to be near family for a celebration. Dinner in the restaurant was good value and the service was perfect. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. We brought in 10 extra guests for breakfast on Sunday as we had pre-arranged it. The staff were really great! On the first morning we had left by 10.15am but the room was not serviced even though the housekeepihg staff were there. We were surprised to arrive back late and discover the room just as we had left it! There was a bag of tea bags etc. left outside the door - very strange!

My wife and I attended a friends wedding , the whole day was lovely the food the staff were great , we stayed in a suite and was very pleased with all aspects of what can only described as a fully equipped flat , very enjoyable stay Signal on tv was a bit hit and miss but wasn't staying at hotel to watch tv

The room was very big and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The shower was hard to use. It was very stiff to turn to the right setting. Decor was very dated. The pillows were very lumpy.

The friendliness of the staff, ease of access at the entrance and parking, the breakfast was superb as was the service, the bar area . There was no lift to the first floor and no room with just a shower cubicle for disabled. The room was dated but clean so was adequate.

Polite helpful staff and a good quality breakfast starts your day off on the right note. Could have the option to ask for a small fridge in the room ( for a small surchage). Only though of it when I left.

The wedding which my wife and I attended was perfectly carried out by the staff at the Wortley House Hotel and I would recommend the facilities to anyone. The outside walkway from the suite to the hotel ( it was raining on our arrival). The living room in the suite should have an additional coffee table. The bathroom requires a couple of extra clothes hooks.
