The hotel and it's grounds were beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The staff were friendly. Whilst the room we stayed in was beautiful, it was cold when we got there, and as there was just one electric heater in the large room, it took ages to warm up, and then we needed it on all night too. Also, when we closed the curtains, a hook fell off, leaving a huge gap in the curtains. When we reported this to the receptionist, we were advised that the maintenance man was not there, but we could move rooms. We did not want to move rooms so ended up climbing up to fix ourselves... Something I shouldn't expect from such an expensive hotel. Overall though a pleasant stay, but could do with a decent heating system :) |

I came with 5 children. The children adored the gardens and room to run around a bit. They also loved the pool. I enjoyed quiet moments in the lounge and the wonderful dining room and views. |

The hotel has all the ingredients to be very good The cost of a gin and tonic at £12.00 was unaceptable and the staff did not seem to care too much about my complaint on that subject and about being locked out at 2am and finding a way in through a side door left open |

We loved the hotel's idyllic setting in rural countryside. We stayed in the mansion part of the hotel (there are court rooms but I would recommend staying in the mansion) for our anniversary and could not have chosen a better place to stay. All the bedrooms are unique, we stayed in room 82, which is the Kenya Safari room and it shows how much effort the staff put into the rooms right down to the binoculars on the shelf. The room was very clean and comfortable for our needs. We enjoyed exploring the grounds, particularly the ruins on site and the chapel. There was also a marque for wedding receptions etc. The mansion building is beautiful with a stained glass window, welcoming entrance and lovely dining room. The staff recommended a street in Stratford Upon Avon with great restaurants which was helpful to us as we were not familiar with the area. The picturesque setting of the hotel made our anniversary memorable and I would recommend it to others looking to visit the Stratford Upon Avon area. The restaurant menu looked pretty expensive, however we did not eat in the restuarant therefore the food may be worth the money spent. |

nice place, good value (thanks booking.com), good breakfast avoid menu at restaurant and ask for a room far away from staff parking, ground floor. always disappointing to have a diesel waking you up at 6.30 when you do not need a wake up call. Room a bit small (but very comfy) |

The house is interesting architecturally as is the chapel. The food was awful and no breakfast was included in the room price. The first room we were offered was dreadful - small and overlooking the car park but they upgraded us when we complained. |

Umgebung, Park, Geschiche. |
