We loved the beautiful building, it felt elegant and unspoilt by commercialism. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The grounds immaculately kept. We stayed in the Orangery which was away from the main house. We loved our very large room, which was decorated to a high standard and was relaxed, with quality bathroom toiletries and bathrobes. We loved the stylish breakfast. We loved the walk the receptionist recommended (she gave us a printout and well worth doing) Watch out for the residue on the trees when parking your car. We had dinner in the conservatory which was excellent but expensive - Two courses including supplement £39.50 (we chose beef which had a £4.50 supplement).

Our room in the Orangery was excellent. We visited during a hot spell in October so we got to use the private garden area to our room which was wonderful. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was delicious. The breakfast offered an excellent selection of food and my hubby had 3 breakfasts one morning all of which he enjoyed. The location of the hotel is great for exploring the Cotswolds especially Stow, Bourton and The Slaughters; all magnificent. We really enjoyed our stay for our seven 'year itch' anniversay. The bedroon needed a dressing table for us ladies, but apart from that the room was well provided for, and we particularly liked the soft fluffy slippers!

Spectacular views & tranquillity. Bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Also nice to stay at a hotel with decent outside facilities for smokers. Would have been nice if the restaurant had a choice of perhaps a set 2 or 3 course menu for approx £20 - £25, but also kept the more expensive menu for anyone having a special occasion. We went to a local pub one evening where the meals were approx £10 per main course and noticed that there were at least 10 couples (including ourselves) eating & drinking there that were from the hotel. Feel the hotel is missing out on a lot of restaurant customers and obviously the bar would benefit from guests remaining in the hotel

Main house was lovely-can't say about those rooms as I was in an annex building. Food and dining facilities were very nice-had glass enclosed room with lovely view of hills and countryside. Although I booked this for 2 couples-their room was much bigger and nicer than mine. We asked for rooms next to each other and I was put 4 doors down when indeed there was a room next door. The outdoor patios were a mess that were outside our rooms.Nobody bothered to sweep or clean off the cushions on our patios that were full of leaves and dust. I would never recommend to stay in this building (the orangery) again which is a good walk from the main area as well. Room was not very clean-frayed carpet-chipped paint and noisy hallway-no carpet in hall and when people came back late at night door bangs shut and voices carry. A friend left a message for me that I never received.Tried to book a spa appoinment but the computers were down and they had to wait until 9:30 the next day to give me a call when the manager came in. .

The setting is beautiful and enables you to relax in country house style. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant food and service was of a high standard. I would definately return. I would of preferred our room to be more in the style of the country house but it was clean and comfortable and spacious enough to spend time in.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and very large. The food was very good, but not cheap. A very comfortable hotel in a quiet location within easy reach of several Cotswold villages

Our stay at the Wyck Hill House Hotel was superb from start to finish. The hotel setting is as picturesque as they describe with rolling manicured lawns and a conservatory overlooking the valley. Truly stunning. The Orangery rooms are fantastic. We had a huge room with floor to ceiling French windows, a private terrace and a large bathroom. They room had one of the most comfortable hotels beds I have ever slept in. I really didn't want to get up! The breakfast is excellent and the service first class. The evening meal is worthy of it's accolades. Everything was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive. The cheese board was to die for. We will definitely be back.

The old manor house itself, lovely relaxed ambience and magnificent acreage of manicured gardens. Very nice restaurant in room with view over the grounds. Also the staff were always polite and helpful. The spa/ beauty therapy area itself was not as 'special' as I expected in terms of atmosphere and the massage itself lacked a little eg left with oil all over face to deal with rather than therapist removing and the therapists did not look too professional in bare feet!

Great location, very clean, very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent room and great bathroom. Fantastic breakfast. Didn't have time for any treatments but if I went again and had time, would do so. Recommended by colleague and proved to be a really nice hotel.

We had a large, comfortable, quiet room in the new extension and the breakfast was excellent. One of the ceiling lamps in the bathroom needed replacing, as did the mechanism that controlled the bath closure. Detail is important.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights stay from 22nd to 26th October. Our booking included half board and the food was absolutely superb! Waiting staff always had a smile of their faces and helped make our stay very enjoyable. The Spa was also very good good and offered a wide range of facials, treatments etc. We will definitely be returning some time in the future

Room was good but the kettle had a very short lead and the only way to use it was to put it on the floor. Who was the tall gentleman in a suit who appeared many times but said nothing!

It would be hard to pick one thing we liked best. Our room was spacious and comfortable; all members of staff were pleasant and helpful; the view from our room was breath-taking and the grounds were beautiful. The food was great and we were close to so many interesting villages and touring spots. Our stay at Wyck Hill House was the spotlight of our entire trip to England. The bed - there was a trough in the middle where the 2 frames came together.

“For a french woman as me, a great lover of british style, iLower brook hotel is the best choice. A cute village in the Costwolds, a lovely house with british style, a discret but efficiency staff. The food is good (I loved the scrumbled eggs with organic salmon at breakfast). The room very comfortable (tea, cofee, cookies and apple, a gown and many other nice things). And the prices low for the quality.” Pierre, London |
