Food was excellent quality presented very well, and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a meal here. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, all the staff we encountered were very polite and made the stay more enjoyable.
Our room in the orangery was just a bit basic, needed some more soft furnishings and some pictures!
A really well located, comfortable hotel with excellent food and service
The Wi-fi signal was very poor outside of the bar area. Luckily we spent a lot of time in the bar
The evening meal was excellent.
We liked it so much we are thinking about it for our wedding.
Broken shower head, waited a lond time for service
Lovely location and beautiful place, the hotel restaurant food was wonderful, pricey but well worth it and the staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend.
The WiFi wasn't working, they did have a notice up saying it was not working and they apologized about it.
Everything it was a very enjoyable stay and will return
Poor lighting in the bedroom
Comfortable rooms, staff very helpful, could not do enough for us and especially for our young 19 month old son. Set up a small bed for him..just perfect. The receptionist from Bulgaria did over and above to make our stay wonderful and because of her we stayed an extra night.....Our room in the Orangery was beautiful and clean, power shower, and on the 2nd night we had to move to the Coach House...luxury......Ideal location for young family, lovely gardens for children to play in.. Highly recommend and will be back especially if we can get a room for the Cheltenham Festival next March.
Food, space, friendliness.
The setting of the hotel and the fact it's an old, country house which has kept it's old charm eg. Wood panelling, pictures, real fire in the colder weather etc Also the ambience of the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Linen tablecloths & napkins. Have stayed several times and hope to continue to do so!
Can't think of anything major but very hard to get Wifi on my iPad.
The huge bedroom. The helpful staff, mostly foreign workers. Good on them!
Beautiful setting and beautiful buildings.
WiFi availability mid-sized. It was not available in our room.
We had an excellent dinner at the hotel. We would definitely return. The staff on reception were very informative.
Difficult to connect to internet.
this hotel made our short break even better.
nothing at all.
free upgrade without asking. complementry room service for tea and coffee.
wifi was available but not great coverage. Some music in the bar would be nice.
The place is lovely and most of the staff are helpful. Room is big and comfy. The dining area has beautiful view!
The only reason I rated poor staff because we had lunch and breakfast, and the food was rather disappointing. I ordered salad and they brought out sandwich, then after bringing the sandwich in and bring the salad out, my (supposedly) chicken salad with ceasar source was drown in mayo. I had to send it back and they didn't charge me for it. Hot breakfast was over-cooked and not fresh.
The whole place and stay was top class
Poor wifi connection
Lovely old fashioned hotel with peaceful garden. We stayed in the Orangery so had an outdoor terrace looking out onto rabbits and even a deer. We had the best cooked English breakfast ever. The staff were ever so polite and helpful but a little slow at times at the bar.
Staff couldn't do enough. room big and lovely views. Bar supper great. sleep was ruined by barking dogs but they were v far away. was just a v still hot night and It echoed up the valley and in through the open windows. No the hotels fault! spa v good treatments. lovely kind hotel
We enjoyed staying at the hotel as it was in a good location, rooms very spacious, helpful and friendly staff. Good food and service.
No hot water for a bath
