Only 5 minutes’ walk from Folkestone town centre and the Leas beaches, the Wycliffe Hotel offers cooked breakfasts and free off-road parking. The hotel has a bar, restaurant and garden. Very clean, everything in good condition, staff very friendly and helpful. Meals could be catered for my special diet/allergies. Parking by the side of the hotel was spacious.

I can't believe this was only £29. Even without en suite it is a real bargain. I was met by the cheerful owner and shown my room. right at the top and no lift but you can take as long as you want to get ther! Tea and coffee in the room, shower was hot and place very clean. Quiet part of the town and still off road parking space at 9 PM. As a pre-tunnel stop it must tyake some beating. Tunnel about 15mins steady drive. The absence of a lift may be a problem for some. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

Wycliffe is suitable for just one night, not more. Close to the ferries to France. Beds were comfortable. Private parking (very cramp). Room was much too small. No chairs, no space to open your suit case. No water glasses, a teenie weenie TV, etc. Not really value for money.

The staff were very friendly, and the facilities were well kept. It is an old house refurbished as a B&B runned by a couple. They were very helpful. Breakfast was ok, the atmosphere was very pleasant and decorated in an old fashion way.

The breakfast choice is excelent and arrived piping hot. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the shAred toilet and bathroom. Coming out of your room at 3 in the morning not knowing who you are going to bump into when your looking your worst half asleep.

It is more an up market b+b than an hotel but the definition is a bit blurred and who cares! Kate who runs the place is very helpful and answers email enquiries quickly and helpfully. Excellent breakfast for £5. Off street parking as well.

A comfortable small hotel with very friendly and helpful owners, who were flexible to meet my needs. The only drawback was the breakfast, as although the cooked part was very good and well-cooked, there was no fruit or yogurt or choice of fruit juices, or choice of teas, which felt a bit unimaginative and not likely to meet everyone's needs.

This was our fourth stay because the owners are happy for us to bring our dog and the service they offer is excellent value. We found the rooms and general comfort to be far superior to that of faceless hotel chains. Both Kate and Mike are friendly and always helpful and we will continue to stay at this hotel whenever we find ourselves crossing to the continent or should we holiday in that area. Also, they offer accommodation to bikers with a special parking area for the machines. My husband is a keen biker and thought this is a 'plus' in what the hotel offers. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel.

Lovely friendly welcome from the owner. Very convenient for the Eurotunnel. Good selection of eateries nearby. Overall a good experience. The bed was very hard and the pillows were very much in need of replacement, they were so flat and hard that there was little point in having them. Since we had only one short night this was not so much of an issue for us, but I certainly would have asked for different pillows if we had been staying any longer.

It is what is what is it. Every was what they said it was. No surprises. The staff doesn't really go the extra mile to make your stay that little bit comfortable. We requested a continental breakfast. We didn't realise that there was Option a (boiled eggs and cold meats) or Option b (bread). They decided not to ask our which option we would like, they just assume bread (no surprise there). Also, check-out is 10:30am (which is fine), so I don't appreciate being chased at 10:25am that check-out is at 10:30am. Third and final, the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Location was good- quite close to town centre but far enough away from any noise etc..... price was very good Very small en-suite with an electric machine that chops up everything that goes down the toilet! Could hear people in next room very easily!
