Magnificent bed in Hexworthy room. Slept wonderfully well. Excellent breakfasts. We travelled with son and daughter in law. Decor charming. Loved the location away from the madding crowd.
Would prefer more hanging space in Hexworthy. It is nice to hang up clothes to get wrinkles out. Son would have liked more supportive mattress in his room, but this is really nit picking. One person found mist and winding, narrow lanes "spooky". Everyone else loved them.
Mary was very friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent as was the location. We will definitely be returning as we love this area of Dartmoor and have now found a fabulous place to stay.
Very welcoming and friendly. The hot tub in the garden was great and the room was perfect.
Fabulous location, and a house with a lovely ambiance. Felt very well looked after, and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and plentiful breakfast. Particularly enjoyed the flexibility offered to suit the individual. Twiglet the dog was irresistible and such a lovely furry friend.
We were made very welcome, attitude of "nothing is too much trouble"
Everything. This is a lovely BnB located in the heart of Dartmoor. The Hexworthy room is spacious and light, the en suite bathroom has a wonderful large tub and a good shower unit. The bed is big and comfortable. What makes Wydemeet special though is the owner. Thank you very much M. for a fantastic long weekend.
Wydemeet is a beautiful country house set in a beautiful location. There is so much to explore on your door step, a must for keen walkers. If you don't feel like walking, then staying in is a luxurious experience. The bedrooms are huge and the bed was very comfortable. This is an exceptional place to stay, very friendly and welcoming, and great value for money... there are no others in the area offering so much in terms of location and hospitality for so little money.
The feeling of remoteness and yet still close to key attractions and pubs Bedroom large and so comfortable - haven't slept so well for a long time Warm welcome Care and attention given by Mary and the Wydemeet team Farm to table experience at breakfast Staying at Wydemeet was a real highlight, long remembered, easily recommended
Cannot think of a thing, but would recommend arrive by car. It gives you more options.
Warm welcome . Chats in the kitchen. Advice on where to walk. Advice on where to eat out. Super breakfast..cooked to order. Very elegant furnishings, deep bath with gold feet. Warmth and comfort of a very well insulated interior. Nice bedroom, comfortable beds, warm duvet.
I liked everything.
Welcoming, homely, awesome location, really quiet, would go again :)
House, room, location, owners, hospitality, food.
Silly little things nothing that would stop us returning. TV was annoyingly peculiar to tune in. Kettle in room was some distance from a good point, and then it was on the floor.
Was a surprise for my fiancées birthday. Lovely hosts did everything to make it a special weekend. Lovely house and surroundings. Definitely recommend staying here for a getaway from everything.
