Free wi-fi was great, and included in the price was a bonus. It was temperamental but the staff sorted it straight away which was great. Very friendly staff and they were very accommodating.
Walls/doors are quite thin so you can hear people if they are outside - however i only heard 2 couples walk past talking but if there were more people there it would be irritating.
friendly staff ,good food great location
Excellent staff and food.
Lovely accommodation and staff were very friendly
Good breakfast although fruit would have been nice. Beautiful location. Nice bar.
The third bed in the triple room was so basic and uncomfortable our daughter slept on the floor. No hair conditioner. Very expensive.
lovely location helpful and friendly staff everything you would expect
the hair dryer!
Location to clearwell castle
The room was old and in need of redecorating No tea in our room The reception area was Dusty and dirty with wallpaper hanging off the walls!! At breakfast there were no choice i.e. fried egg scrambled egg....
Location to the Castle excellent. Parking,. Friendly Staff, good food was all good.
Lovely Traditional English Country pub in a beautiful location. Breakfast was fine, service ok.
Everything is really old and musty. The Annex bedrooms need to be revamped, no way worth the 100 pounds per night
My partner and I arrived rather late but were met by a gentleman who was more than helpful.
Beds too hard and uncomfortable, expensive, front of house very stressful and not particularly polite when under his own pressures, not mine
Location. Good value.
Bedroom noisy from music in kitchen.
Proximity to the castle was excellent. Breakfast watery good, staff were polite and very helpful.
Appears to rest on its proximity to the castle as has a guaranteed regular customer base. Furniture needs the update the building seems to have had.
Very close to castle for wedding we were attending
Hotel was very dated. Room dirty. Service at breakfast very slow and had to seat ourselves and clean our own table. Definitely not worth the price we paid!
The way that we arrived 5 hour's after 10pm ie 3am. & the manger waited up for us to show us & my 8yr old son was made to very very welcome , A very big thank you to all the staff . Russ Holland
Food & welcome,
Being in the annex which was quite tired light fitting hanging out of ceiling for example ( don't like modern buildings, such a shame ) - no wifi anywhere as signal drops out, need to get IT people in to address this
Near the venue where our frienfs got married, great breakfast
rooms are outdated
Loved the tea pg tips! And plenty of them, the room was very clean. Breakfast was very good..
Location , good breakfast
No towels ,no robes no soap smelt of dogs .
Very helpful staff, adequate room in a picturesque country inn. Excellent breakfast.
Bed rather lumpy and decor slightly tired, but only minor quibbles.
Good food, friendly staff
No tea making facilities
Friendly staff Great food (bar menu and breakfast) In a pleasant quiet village, good touring base for Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire.
Needs a good paint outside. Decor a bit 1980s tho very clean.
Room was good size and clean, manager was as helpful as he could be. hand pulled beer was good. Wine prices very reasonable.
no lounge area. carpets in public rooms were very dirty. The owner clearly doesn't want to spend any money upgrading/repairing/painting the outside of the place, or pay enough staff to come in on a Friday evening. No restaurant open on a Saturday evening so ate in bar area. Evening meal menu limited and poorly cooked.
Hotel is tired and needs refurbishment
