We asked for a double and got two singles pushed together.i wouldn't of been bothered but I could feel the centre of of the mattresses so this hurt my back so I didn't sleep well
Great location a few moments walk from the castle for weddings
Hotel manager quite brisk felt as if our arrival bit inconvenient
Easy to get to the wedding party and walked back
Creaky floors - which is to be expected in a property of this ageqq
Very helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble
Shower went for hot to col to very hot when others were using there’s
Very friendly staff comfortable room excellent breakfast
Bed extremely uncomfortable (changed rooms on second night). No WiFi signal. Dated Room & shabby room (pink tiles in bathroom and gaps in flooring)
Friendly staff, Excellent Breakfast, Large car park. Great location near to wedding venue. Room clean
The staff were friendly the food was excellent.
The teapot was left in room half full with old tea and mould in. There was mould/fungus on a beam near the window. Needed a good deep clean and hoover.
The bed is very comfy and breakfast was very tasty.
Room was freezing cold. No heating on in the room in the night
Handy location for the castle
Some decor a bit dated
Location Food Friendly staff Pub atmosphere (Friday evening)
food was good fair selection on menu especially as it was out of main tourist season. lovely log fire in bar area.
We liked everything.
service excellent, staff always very helpful, food excellent all our family had a great weekend, we highly recomend the Wyndham Arms Hotel.
Bathroom needed updating - particularly WC and radiator
Location, bed and room size
The owner has no people skills.constant scowl.needs a friendly face on reception.
Bed comfortable.female staff good.location good for castle.
Was missing something, can't put my finger on it? Sorry I know this doesn't help.
Proximity to Clearwell Castle. Allowed access to room early prior to official check in time.
Owner grumpy.shouldn't be behind reception as no customer skills.over priced but not a lot of choice when going to a wedding in Camberwell castle.
The food was spot on. Evening and breakfast staff good.rooms good size.bed comfortable.staff got anything we asked them for.
Stayed in the Annexe in a family room which was clean and comfortable. We had Dinner in the lovely old bar which had a log burner in use, providing heat & extra atmosphere. The food was delicious particularly the game stew. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but could tell that extra staff were needed to serve and also service the rooms. Lovely place to stay, but don't expect quick service - just need to accept the pace of the Forest -relax and enjoy!
Dirty room , bathroom especially toilet . Dirty public areas . Needed complete re-vamp and deep clean !
Beds were not comfortable. Rooms were not clean.
The room smelled, needs a revamp very tired surround. Dirty towells dried paint on one we did not receive until 7pm after asking several times, reception man seems unconcerned. Said he was waiting for tumble drier so obviously no spare for whole of hotel Bed very uncomfortable. I thought very expensive for what we got. Would not stay again
The location was good for clearwell castle wher 6 of us attended a family wedding the breakfast was good. Housekeeper lady very pleasant when she eventually brought towels loo paper n tissues of which there were non
Dining room, although very interesting, is a little cold but if you like it cosy and warm, best book a table in the main bar where there is a lovely wood burning stove. Decor a little tired, especially in the bathroom but not bad for the price.
Food - not a huge selection but what we had was very nice (Scotch Egg, Tomato & roasted red pepper soup, Lamb Jalfrazi, Confit of duck) and there should be something for most people on the menu. We needed to check out early on the Sunday morning and this was no problem, they were very accommodating and cooked us a lovely breakfast early (booked night before)
Dirty reception office on arrival, followed by uncertainty over the heating working, chef and under chef for variety of probably genuine reasons not available so no food, got to room through stinky corridor with fire door propped open to relieve smell, and find bedroom with no toilet roll or tissues, not enough towels and dirty teacups. Sheets didn't fit the bed and cleaning the bath and WC wasn't on our itinery.
Location then zero.
Slow service in restaurant at breakfast time .
Location and charm . Breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly .
