The breakfast was hot
The shower The bed and linen The room as a whole was grubby and second rate The curtains were not fixed to the track The carpet was filthy
Staff, Food fantastic, one of the best breakfast by far from any hotel I have stayed in, Clean , comfy beds, although a little dated. Great location. Great Price
Some Noise as you would expect from such an old establishment, I am a light sleeper, so earplugs next time for me as you could hear Toilet activity in rooms adjacent or above, couldn't quite work out, disliked décor in room I stayed, although I believe there are rooms that have been modernised ,so would definitely return to one of these rooms in the near future.
Tithe location was good for us as we were visiting relatives in Johnstown and Acrefair. As we do not drive the hotel is convenient for the train station. Also the buses stop less than 2minutes walk from the hotel. We caught the bus into Wrexham Chester Llangollen and Barmouth. The breakfasts at the Wynnstay are good value for money.
The hotel needs refurbishing. The carpets on the floors leading to the bedrooms do not give a very good impression of the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
The room was comfortable but could do with some decorating . The paper was coming off the wall where it the rain had obviously been coming in. The bathroom window sill looked as if it hadn't seen a coat of paint in years.
Superb breakfast cooked by a lovely lady . Lovely clean towels every day.Situation was ideal for the places we wanted to visit.
A disinterested manager we only saw him once at breakfast when our order had already been taken by the lady who cooked and served our breakfast.Beds not being made properly just straightened and no sheet for the last two nights. We had to pay the cleaning lady cash when we left (no manager) pdq machine was out of order throughout our stay.
The free parking.
It smelled like a dirty pirate ship.
We arrived very late at 1 am and they accommodated us for a very late arrival. Great big and tasty breakfast.
It is a little dated and needs modernizing - but that was also part of its charm
The staff were all friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was first class - a lot better than a top notch hotel. It was great to come back after being out all day to a drink in the bar and a meal in the restaurant at very reasonable prices.
Nothing in particular hotel looking a little tired around the edges.
Smell of rooms, dirtiness, sour milk. It is the worst place I have ever stayed in.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and eager to help.
The hotel was filthy. There were old tea stains on the skirting boards in my room, the bathroom was covered in cob webs, none of the lamps worked in the room. I have stayed in cleaner hostels. I certainly will not be booking in again and would not recommend anyone to stay there. £60 is an outrageous price for a room that had clearly not been cleaned in months.
Ideally situated for Llangollen International eisteddfod but not at Llangollen prices. On arrival staff changed our room as I was on crutches and made my stay more comfortable. Tried to book for end of week return, but fully booked. Enjoyed food in evening and at breakfast time. Excellent value for money. Told it was going to have a renovation and this should make it excellent plus.
On this occasion nothing.
Great place to stay for a night. Comfortable place to stay and decent breakfast. Beautiful building.
Needs some TLC
Not worth £80.00 per night no where near
tired rooms need a face lift
Breakfast is excellent. Very friendly & helpful staff. Good beer. Good location for touring North Wales.
Rooms are outdated.
The morning staff was very helpful and friendly. Beautiful old building.
The evening staff wasn't very pleasant. A forced smile that turns into a sour face as soon as they turn away from you. The wall paper is hanging off the wall in the bedroom. No hot water for the bath. No bed side lamps. Room pretty dirty. Supper was just about eatable.
Breakfast Easy to find
NO running hot water for the hand basin or the bath in my room, only an electric shower over the bath. I complained to the staff the following morning but they were unconcerned about it, the Manager wasn't present for me to see. I shall not stay there again and it is unlikely that I will use booking.com for my future reservations. A reduced rate or some compensation for the lack of facilities was not offered to me by the "hotel" The hotel has a "tired" appearance to it and appears to be is in need of renovation.
It was easy to find and in the center if town.
The room and the hotel in general seemed a bit rundown, maybe in a slightly charming way...
Food was generous and good, good location
Staff were pleasant Breakfast was hot but suspect some of it was microwaved.
Used towel in bathroom on arrival Used cream in bathroom. No hot water in bathroom sink Lights hanging out of socket Lights that didn't, work No wi-fi once you moved 2 yards from office,we had to ask for clean towels bed was not made up and room was not cleaned neither was the bathroom and we had to ask for toilet tissue.very very disappointed.
It needs money spending on it A bit of decoration would be good And screw the floor boards down
Size of the room. Facilities in the room
No hot water, 5 of us had to shower in an adjoining on the following day after being fobbed off overnight. Not impressed, especially not getting a straight answer from staff. Breakfast wasn't great.
Staff were really wonderful, kind, helpful. Everyone was great!
The hotel could really use a refurbishment. Rooms were water-stained, paint peeling, musty smelling.
Lovely clean sheets and towels ,really good breakfast,
Hotel decor in the bedrooms needs to be updated, public areas are fine
all staff friendly very nice good atmosphere and very good food
