wardrobe was strange - room 301
Friendly staff, especially in the restaurant
Room overlooked main street which seemed to be meeting place for boy racers at 04.30.
Lovely room, good food, friendly staff; good leisure centre with pool.
Room on top floor - lots of stairs to carry several pieces of luggage up (no lift); Wi-Fi poor connection - kept cutting out.
Some creaky floorboards!
Friendly, helpful and charming staff who went the extra mile giving us good tourist advice too. Excellent dinners in a relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for the dairy free member of our group. Comfortable, pleasant decor in the reception rooms. Good, private parking
Healthy option cereals (muesli, Bran Flakes, fruit salad etc) would have been appreciated though the rest of the breakfasts were varied and good. Tired bedroom furniture and poor carpet. No lift.
The staff very friendly. Spa good. Restaurant qas excellent
Bedroom do small. No shower. When I enquired with receptionist. She said we could shower roomnext door. That I didnt think was appropriate. Hotel old and lovely stairs very steep. We had change rooms as stairs too much to climb as I was there appointment in orthopaedic hospital. Would visit again and request room first floor not 115
Staff were very friendly and efficient.bed comfortable and clean
The room would benefit from an update, it was looking a little tired and worn around the edges, also bathroom needs bringing up to date, ie shower !!!
Warm, friendly welcome. Efficient service. Food was excellent. The facilities in the room were very good. A caffeterie for making coffee was a bonus.
The coffee served in the restaurant both at breakfast and dinner is thick, strong and frankly stewed.
Rest of hotel was fine
Bathroom/Bedroom tired needs refurbishing. Bathroom and Shower inconvenient. Car Park was also inconvenient.
Location to town centre
Staff member turned up for work after breakfast start time and then when asked for a fried egg with breakfast replied with "five eggs". English was not her first language.
The heating did not come on in the afternoon till around 4.30. I asked for, and was given, an electric heater, which helped to some extent, but feeling cold left a bad impression. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant.
Staff very friendly Nice large car park Pool and gym Spacious room Central location Cosy feel to hotel
Location of room was noisy (above function room) Bathroom was a little dated
Lack of lift
Food is excellent with a great choice and not over expensive for a hotel.
Rooms are very tired looking and not much space.
all bookings are non-refundable. Credit Card Transaction takes immediate effect, immediate after you make your booking, even a month before you check in
Spa, sauna etc
Room was a tad cramped
Staff Fitness Centre Spa Adjoining coffee shop Restaurant
Room was very low standard: outdated, damp, no noise insulation from street, very disappointing. It was poor value for money as you had to pay for the extras that made it worth while. Too expensive given the room standard.
No small fridge in executive suite
Ample car parking in the centre of town. The spa is well equipped
The breakfast is well over priced @ £10.50 per person.I think the room was a little expensive.
Central location and nice bar next door
Run down Flaking paint and rotten window frames Dated bathroom Dated decor Smell of mould and damp especially in the bathroom
Comfort, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, ambience
noisy near to the road.
Friendly staff, excellent location five mins from the town with good parking. Large bedroom with king sized bed. Nice bathroom with a bath and a good powerful shower and large thick towels. Lovely restaurant and bar area food very good.
Car park quite a way from the reception if raining. No lift if you have a disability. We had no heating in our room thought it might be on a timer but after a phone call to reception was given an electric heater which solved the problem.
Close to all the shops and other attractions in Oswestry. Superb room, immaculately presented. Superb food - breakfast. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. All staff very welcoming and helpful
Wi-Fi not secure - surely a password would not inconvenience those wanting to use the Wi-Fi
I liked the view over the bowling green, the location of the hotel and the facilities. The staff in the bar in the evening were very good.
Only criticisms would be that in places the hotel seemed dated and on arrival the staff on reception did not provide the sort of reception I would expect for someone front of house who's job it is too greet and welcome (it was more like a transaction)...it was in stark contrast to other staff in the bar that evening.
