Exec. room is great. God size & huge v. comfortable bed. Plenty of nearby eating options. The Thai rest.t was excellent. 5-10 mins. to the Tube.
Traffic noise noticeable in a room facing the Cromwell Road.
Splendid continental breakfast (very good bread) and excellent dinner restaurant and staff
Most of the TV channels were impossible to view....
This is my second stay. The first I had a very small, dark room, which was a little difficult to maneuver and quite claustrophobic, but it was comfortable so I decided to stay again. This time, I had a slightly larger room, but it had two windows and was really nice and bright. The rooms are clean, smart and nicely appointed. I found that the staff are friendly, and very helpful. I will definitely stay again.
Some rooms are very claustrophobic, and the internet can be a little slow.
This time nothing,
I Chose Xenia Hotel because I really loved my first stay there. I even upgraded my room into a double (as I´ve been advised) but this experience has been so much worse. First of all - I didn´ feel welcome this time, the receptionist at the check-in desk was unpleasant and treated me as if I was the least of last. Yes, I could have lived with it but there has been more, unfotunately – here is my list: 1. clogged sink in the shower – dirty water stayed in the basin till morning 2. huge noise coming either from inside or outside - construction works probably didn´t alow me to focus on my work during the whole afternoon. I should have been warned, I had an impotant stuff to do which I´ve hardly finished. 3. At 2:30 a.m. (!) the electronic clock alarm in the room began to ring, although I didn´t touch it at all (I have my own). It woke me up three times, I even thought it was morning and began dressing me up. Very stressful, couldn´t fall asleep after this. 4. problem wih the electricity - when I woke up, there was no light, I tried every lamp on the wall. In the end I found out that at least plugs worked normally, so I used small lamps (but had no light in bathrom). I was too busy to manage it, so I let it be and didn´t call any assistance. I first wrote a personal complaint to the manager of the hotel but as nobody has even apologized, I decided to tell all.
Good location, very clean and friendly staff.
Nothing stood out as being a problem
rooms too small
Almost all was fine in this hotel
The bed was very short!
Location - approx. 5 minutes away from closest metro station. Extremely pleasant/helpful staff. Nicely decorated and clean room. Good selection of sanitary goods. Comfort beds. Near to Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Victoria&Albert Museum. Grocery store next to the hotel.
loud generator at back side; too noisy at night; hard, uncomfortable beds; in-all: I came to a hotel to sleep, which was difficult; I am less bothered about the Michelin star chef
the staff is very nice and very helpful. The room is in very good condition and the room service is reasonably good (excellent food, good service but the menu is not plenty of choice). The tablet is really useful. Earl's Court is ideal to visit London ( direct to Heathrow with the Picadilly line). Only 5 min walking from underground. One star Michelin restaurant.
maybe the fact that I have made two reservations (for successive days) and I have had to go to the reception, pay the bill for the first one and then change my key. But I guess that most hotels would have done the same.
Hotel with really nice atmosphere, convenient location, friendly staff, well-equipped & clean room, free and high-speed wifi
If anything, noise from the road, but not really disturbing
Staff very friendly and personalised service.
Room service food was poor. No complementary water. Rooms are tiny and cupboard is very small.
Lovely clean rooms. Although the classic double had only the bed to sit on and was a little cramped with two suitcases. Nice touch with the nightly dessert brought to our room.
Breakfast was very expensive considering the range that was on offer. However, if you choose to stay in this area of London, this is to be expected. On our second day, it was New Year's Day. The cleaners had not cleaned our room by 4pm and we had to wait approximately 30-45mins for them to finish. And they still forgot to leave us fresh towels.. Not realising this until the following morning was annoying - lucky there were two of us in the room so one could call reception! Unfortunately, when we were heading out to meet our car transfer, the concierge accidentally put one of our suitcases in the other ladies taxi that had pulled up at the same time. As this was an accident and we weren't rushing for our flight, albeit frustrated and worried that the taxi had driven away with no indication of where it was going, the concierge staff managed to contact the lady who luckily was a guest of the hotel, and ask her to let the driver know he needed to return to the hotel with our suitcase. All was fixed within 45mins and they couldn't have been more apologetic. I'm sure they won't ever do it again as they were highly embarrassed by the mistake.
Gentle staff Clean room
Too small room Maquette was a bit dirty
Location is within walking distance of two tube stations and the National Science Museum which makes it comfortable, staff are fantastic; well kept with nice touches such as furnishing and bathroom accessories, tablet also in room.
Rooms are small and using the WiFi seemed to be elaborate - as it had to be "explained" to us. No minibar or fridge, one of the rooms we had the heat was not working so it was very cold. Were also given the sub-floor rooms which are dark and damp with no view out the window.
Nice hotel in a good location, very nice staff with good breakfast. Room had a nice little outside balcony.
The room was too small. It was so narrow that the end of the bed was no more than 60 cms from the wall, and that not because the bed was a long one !
Perfect location and great guys at the concierge
The design and in the room and specially in the rooms
The room was too small for couple.
The location was excellent for me, near the Earl's Court tube station. The staff was unfailingly helpful, cheerful and all around lovely. The hotel is impeccably clean and nicely appointed.
The room -- listed as a "deluxe double" was teeeeeny! I shudder to think what the "deluxe single" would be like?? (I don't think they have one on that description, btw).
The hotel exterior is nice, neat and presentable as a chic and clean hotel. The lobby is attractive and festive (I stayed in December). The room is nicely decorated. Clean, fresh feeling. The bathroom is clean. Internet on the ready and fast. The little macaroon I found left on my bedside table after getting back late was a nice touch - shame that I was on a gap-between-the-thigh diet. Sainsbury's a stone's throw away. Tablet in room is a thoughtful extra. Didn't use it. Most people already have own tablet. Room lighting gave a nice ambience. A little brighter may lead to uninvited discovery by my wandering eyes, so I liked it just the way it was.
That I couldn't stay longer. The elevator is a tad small. As I was solo, it wasn't a problem. But if I had my little monsters and their luggage, I expect a squeeze or separate rides.
I enjoyed the big beds with lots of extra pillows , the spacious bathrooms, and the full English breakfast
I arrived late (approx 2200) and the restaurant was about to close. Not many restaurants around the place either.
The food was superb. The complimentary cocktail. A surprise to find such a great hotel in that location.
A veggie option for main course. More sound proofing on windows. Need a smaller cup for the nespresso machine
Beds were comfortable, Staff friendly.
Room was tiny, We had a twin room, I travelled with my 17 yr ols son. I am glad we get on as space to move around was very limited, It was a single size room! I would of liked a bath in the bathroom but the shower was large.
Very clean, very comfortable room, good service, good breakfast.
Breakfast room service was a little slow, we hit a busy time. Price a bit higher than we like to pay, but that's a London problem.....
