What an amazing place to stay, we couldn't have had a more brilliant time! Our hosts were wonderful, breakfast was fantastic and the view wow! Will definitely go back. If you want something out of the ordinary this is the place for you.
Nothing, had as fab time and experience!
Cleanliness overall comfortable beds and lovely breakfasts.
We liked everything drinks on the deck watching the tide at sunset! Really like being in your own home and the local knowledge of our hosts Wendy and Paul was fantastic lovely people.
The fact that we should have stayed longer!
Paul and Wendy made us feel very welcome right from the start. Breakfast was excellent and the views from the deck were to die for. We would thoroughly recommend this B&B for anyone looking for something different.
Beautiful, quiet location and the novelty of staying on board a boat was good.
Owners have been doing B&B on this boat for over 20 years and the place is tired, grubby and not value for money. Good thing I am short as I had to bend to get the shower over my head. The boat is for sale and I think the owners have clearly had enough. Pretty miserable and didn't like comment that he liked the IoW because there are no other races like mainland!
it is a great experience parking in front of the boat better feeling than staying in an hotel room large common areas talking with owners the small seafood cafe nearby serves good fresh seafood
- to be on the boat when it is low tide and looking at the seagrass not a great spectacle - got very deluded about owners recommendation about seafood restaurant in the area "The Crab & lobster". Worst seafood dinner ever had and overpriced. - breakfast time should be more flexible considering that tourists are on holiday
Quirkiness - out of the ordinary View - stunning Owners - friendly and helpful
Wendy was very nice and wanted to help.
After making allowances for the fact that this is a 1941 boat. The accommodation is very shabby and smells old and damp. The poor quality decor is from the 1970s and the cabins have exposed cabling and plumbing. The lack of choices for breakfast is contrary to most other B&Bs these days. I respectfully suggest the owners visit other more modern B&Bs, to see what can be achieved, even with an ageing boat. Overall, very poor.
Quirky! Also that it was only a walk away from Bembridge where there was a good choice of pubs and restaurants.
This is a quirky place and will be an unforgettable stay because it is not your usual hotel. It really is a gun boat so it was never designed for comfort but it really is very pleasant and relaxing. Great full English breakfast and really friendly owner Wendy was v helpful.
Paul & Wendy made us feel very welcome, room was comfortable warm and clean. Breakfast was served with a cheery smile.
Wonderful views from lounge
Unusual location with great features... it floats! Friendly hosts. Would return.
Can't think of anything. If you are taller than six foot then get ready to duck! We aren't so it was no problem. We would stay again.
I enjoyed the quirkiness of being on a world war II boat, being at the waters edge, the quietness and peacefulness of the location in Bembridge harbour. The location was in easy access to the varied attractions of the Isle of wight. Felt very at home the moment I stepped on board. very good cooked breakfast. paul and wendy lovely hosts.
Not being able to stay longer.
Its a very nice way to stay on the island loved it Paul and Wendy are great hosts
Wendy and Paul were very welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable with fresh towels daily. It was a lovely location and the outlook was really nice. Good pub in walking distance too!
It wasn't very quiet being near the road and plumbing was a bit noisy.
Location, Friendly, Naval History, Relaxing,
the owners Paul and Wendy were fantastic. the boat felt like as relaxed as home .Wendy does the most superb breakfasts...... so much so that we skipped lunch most days.
Excellent views from the boat, very peaceful and comfortable. Owners were very helpful and friendly and the service was very good.
Nothing to add here.
Exelent different hotel. outstanding peaceful view frendly down to earth owners
