Hosts very friendly. Room and bathroom very clean. Breakfast cooked fresh.
A 2 night stay and we had to make our own bed on the 2nd night. Towels and tea/coffee not checked. At £78 per night this was an essential requirement. To gain access to our studio there were wrought iron stairs which may not suit guests with mobility issues. No meat at breakfast which we missed on booking.
Perfect hosts welcoming, friendly and helpful. Idyllic setting and near to Frodsham. The Artists Studio is clean and comfortable with everything that you need. Lovely breakfast with homemade jams and marmalade. Highly recommended.
Just a minor "didn't like". The shower is not a constant temperature but not a real problem.
I loved were it was, nice and peaceful and not too far from frodsham to bars and restaurants, the breakfast was lovely, I really like the homely feel to this place. I would recommend any one to go there. We stayed in the artists room which was fantastic. Lovely veiws out of the windows, and really quick wifi.
The only bad thing I can think of is the shower , the water goes hot then cold but was not much of a problem for me.
My room was delightful , the breakfast was delicious and the location is wonderful
Basically all of it. The room was full of dusty, old furniture and mouldy old books about nothing but horses. There were huge spiders in most corners, the tea and coffee tasted like it was bought from Happy Shopper and the milk was out of date. The only good thing about the room was the bathroom which was obviously new. You have to walk through a dark tatty entrance room to get to yet more dark and tatty stariway full of more mouldy books. I had to wait for 20minutes before the owner decided to answer the door where the bill was shoved under my face before we even got to see our room. I could easily go on but take my word for it, dont stay here
The setting is idylic, really peacefull and relaxing. The rooms are clean comfortable and the beds really good although the tea making facilities were a bit mean.
The breakfasts are very nice but vegetarian no bacon and sausage or fried products a traditional English breakfast would have been appreciated. the dining room was could and uninviting and the hostess a little over powering asking for money the second we arrived.
Lovely b&b with character, in scenic & tranquil surroundings. Room facilities were very good with wifi & a DVD player. Interesting choice of warm breakfasts to enjoy.
Great location friendly staff very good breakfast quiet, peaceful place delicious homemade jams for breakfast
Simple, quiet country place with good walk in owner's woodland. Friendly welcome. Comfortable chairs in bedroom ...
B&B was good set in its own grounds away from any main road, so quite and peaceful. the owner makes their own jam on site which you can buy very welcoming
owners are lovely very helpful, grounds and rooms lovely and big. beautiful views from the rooms.
only take cash the breakfast was very nice but there was no meat on the menu
Excellent location for concert at Delamere Forest
Beautiful location, quirky owners :) Fresh organic produce.
Early breakfast 8-9am... We said we'd be up for 8.55 they laughed but still served us.
They make amazing jams & chutneys which they sell!
We loved the rural location and the home-like feel of the place. It was very comfortable and the host was very welcoming and helpful. It made a nice change from standardised, anonymous hotel rooms (which have their place) and the breakfast was brilliant.
The peace and quiet was truly marvelous as we needed to relax and wind down. The staff were so nice and the room was spotless and so quaint. It was not a problem for us but the only negetive would be that it should be made clearer that the breakfast is veggy so no bacon or sausage lol. All was amazing apart from that. Would highly recomend this for a quiet break.
Just the no meat breakfast.
Owners were so helpful when we booked at late notice, the bed was superb and the house a treasure trove-the jams were amazing!
Nothing-have booked again.
Pam was an excellent hostess. Breakfast was amazing especially the goose egg omelette. Very comfortable and clean place. Amazing location, very restful and peaceful. For a quiet, relaxing holiday this place is perfect.
Picturesque place -really lovely people. Lovely food and jam shop. Studio is probably better than the rooms in the house
V noisy from owners kitchen . Noise early in morning 6 am and throughout the day you can hear the owners chatting. Feels a bit like staying in someone's house.
It's a lovely b&b with an incredibly warm welcome. The Studio was spacious and cozy with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was lovely. We may have to come back in the summer to make use of the terrace.
It was in a lovely setting. The bed was very comfortable and nice bathroom.
No heating when we got there we were told it would come on at 6pm but it took 2 more hours for it to warm up and we had to sit with our coats on. Television was there but didnt work. No heating in bathroom half used shower gel in bathroom. Had to pay bill on arrival which i wasnt happy about and didnt realise that we had vegetarian breakfast. The pictures of the b&b i think was misleading on the website.
Home from Home. Very welcoming.
Very friendly and welcoming in a lovely quiet setting. Lots of choice for breakfast and you could try their homemade jams and marmalade.
Very quiet lovely countryside and very friendly people
