the staff were lovely and helpful- i loved the spa shower and the window seat in my room- very glad i had a front view room .A very pleasant stay and would be fabulous in the summer- if we get one .the location was excellent with a castle to explore and a train nearby. only disadvantage was that the bar was under my room and the noise carried up clearly and outside my window was the smokers area- most people staying in hotel would have been in the bar anyway but we were too tired after dinner and long days of walking and it didnt matter too much as it was only for a couple of hours. You could drown it out with the TV!!

The house manager was very friendly and helpful. The bar was well used and had a good atmosphere. A bit untidy, particularly around the corridors.

Wonderful staff, room was v clean and comfortable. Food was good and nice to see a selection of real ales served in the bar. First impressions were that the exterior could do with freshening up. Apart from this and one slightly underdone chip, no complaints.

Helpful staff and good food Although refurbished on interior, restaurant and bar ambience not great and limited by the building itself. Value for money not the best of the places we stayed in North Wales

The staff were excellent, very welcoming and obliging. The beds were comfortable and the the sheets were nice and soft being Egyptian cotton. The food, we ate dinner and breakfast, was exceptionally good and staff went out of their way to meet our individual needs. We were in one of the rooms at the top of the hotel so carrying luggage was difficult due to the narrow stairs and items left on the landings, which gave the appearance of a back stairs rather than the main way to rooms. Although staff did offer to carry our bag up when we arrived. The room was small for a twin room and the electric sockets were not placed near the dressing table to enable the use of the hair dryer provided or our own electrical appliances. We found the room a bit too hot but could not make the regulator work to turn it off. Lastly the lovely big bathroom and fluffy towels did not make up for the stained/mouldy grouting on the bath/shower which put us off having a shower. The plastic trolley in there did not enhance the room at all, unlike the rest of the bedroom furniture which was more tasteful. Saying all that these are all things that can be easily addressed to make the room more like the photo on your website. I have ticked below to recommend but would advise people to request a bigger first floor bedroom.

Staff very helpful and food was excellent Advertised as wifi available throughout the hotel, which it wasn'T. I was able to connect via a single hard wired point in reception, but as this arrangement was inadequate for the business monitoring I needed to carry out whilst on holiday, I regrettably had to shorten my stay and move to another hotel.

We were very impressed with the size of the room and ensuite, also the cleanliness and comfort. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was wonderful. Great location too - minutes away from Harlech Castle. I would definitely recommend to anyone :) Probably the only issue to anyone would have been the noise of people talking outside the pub, but this was to be expected and was quite enough by midnight.
